The Purple mattress

I love this mattress, it is very comfortable to sleep on. The grid formation of the top layer is a little odd feeling and takes a little while to get used to but is comfortable to lay on. The mattress has lived up to the claim of reducing back pains so far. Glad I finally made the purchase.

Purple Heaven

Love my purple bed. My back doesn't ache as much as before when I was sleeping on my foam bed. I also bought the purple pillow too. My husband loves it because he's a back sleeper, but I'm a side sleeper and I am still adjusting to it. Otherwise, no complaints here! Worth the investment!

Original Purple Mattress

This mattress so far is better than the Tempur-pedic mattress I had. No matter how I sleep, on my back, side or stomach, the purple mattress is comfortable. I'm not sore from sleeping. I've always had mattresses that sink in the middle after so long, but so far the purple mattress does not do that.

Check & Double Check!

Sound sleep? ✅ Back pain? Gone! Hip pain? Gone! Sweaty sheets? Gone! Waking up because my wife jiggled the bed getting in/out? Nope! Loving the heck out of my free seat cushion? You bet! Telling everyone I see they need a Purple, too? EVERY DAY! THANKS TONY & TERRY!!!

king size mattress and platform

I have had my king size mattress for two years and I am over 300 lbs and my hubby is 200 lbs and it has been the only platform that has not broken because of my weight. and the mattress is so comfortable that I can finally sleep on my back and it not hurt at all. This is the best bed I could have ever bought and the price is great. I would highly recommend this bed to anyone that is over 300 lbs, the platform will never give out and if you ever have any problems with anything you buy from Purple that have a great warranty department and they take care of the problem extremely fast.

Pressure points

Used to sleep on an air mattress with alternating pressure to prevent pressure sores. I tried this mattress to get rid of the noise from the air pump. Just over a month later, I haven't had any trouble skin breakdown. Was also hoping it would help with lower back pain, unfortunately it hasn't helped in this area. But all in all, it is quite comfortable.

Good and bad?

The mattress itself sits to low. It needs at least another inch, maybe two, in height. It also seems a bit short in length. I'm 6ft tall and on on most beds my toes hang off, on the purple my entire foot hangs off. Lastly, although I was told that no one would feel the purple diamond pattern, I have felt it from day one and it's a little unnerving being that I'm 40 years used to a uniform feel to a bed. With that said, my aches and pains have gone away and I definitely sleep much cooler. So I honestly don't know how to review this, somewhere in the middle of the road I guess.

I'm in heaven!

My husband had wanted a new mattress for quite some time now. The problem was our current mattress was a little more than 2 year. It was an mlily memory foam mattress that started out great, but over time you began to feel indentations where you slept. It was becoming uncomfortable but it wasn't that old and I didn't want to spend the money. Going on year two my back really started hurting and I could barely sleep through the night. I read a lot of the reviews for the purple mattress and they were mixed, but for the most part positive and the reasons varied. One of the reasons I was wary was my husband ordered the purple pillow at Christmas and it smelled for two months. It was a rather strong plastic smell that I couldn't stand. I finally caved and ordered the purple mattress. It took about a week to get here and was delivered in its 'small' box. We opened the box, unwrapped it and rolled it out. It was ready to go. No odor either, which I was very happy about. I can tell you from the first night I slept on purple my back stopped hurting immediately. It's an interesting sensation because it does have a soft feeling when you first crawl into bed, but it's very supportive while you are laying down and I am one who needs a firm mattress. I sleep very well now and don't toss and turn like I used to. It is cooler than the memory foam mattress, but I feel it's slighly warmer than a conventional mattress. Not a deal breaker as I'm always hot anyway! One final note, I am about the pickiest person there is when it comes to mattresses and a real Goldilocks, four mattresses in less than 10 years. Some of the reviews mentioned they could feel the grid and I will say that's true and you do realize it's different than a conventional mattress especially if you run your fingers overs it, but it's so comfortable when you are laying down I don't notice the grid at all. We got the 2" purple and I am finally getting a good nights rest! For us the purple mattress gets five stars!

Goodbye hot foam, hello purple.

I am a full time firefighter/paramedic. I have a tough sleep schedule and have many restless nights. I have many injuries old and new. I sleep very hot as well. I have the original purple and it is doing wonders for me. Im sleeping much cooler than I did with memory foam. The pressure points on my shoulders and hipa are gone. Im finally sleeping through the night which is rare for me. I can only imagine how awesome the 4" purple is. I highly recommend this bed. Thank you purple for the wonderful product.

Platform base is a joke / Mattress got worse over time.

After researching and trying out other mattresses, my husband decided to buy the king size Purple bed about 10 months ago because I have lower back problems and his coworker was also recommending he purchase it since he had one and it was "so comfortable". At first, it wasn't bad! It was a little stiff; neither one of us had an issue with that, but we DID have an issue with how LOW the bed was after being set up on the Purple Platform Base. My husband is 6'3" and I'm 5'10", so when everything was set up, the bed came up to our knees and it feels like you're falling into it when laying down. It was such an awkward height, that we wound up buying box springs to put under the bed to raise it up higher. Well, forget it! When the box springs were added, the whole thing came up to our waists! I felt bad because my husband purchased the box springs, so we left them there since neither of us had an issue getting into the bed with our long legs. Fine - back to the bed. It neither helped nor worsened my back pain, but unfortunately after several months of sleeping on it, my husband has developed back pain and numbness / tingling in his arms and legs. Also after several months of using it, I was changing the sheets and noticed on his side there was a noticeable indentation, I didn't want his side to get worn out, so I spun it around giving him "my side" of the bed. Fast forward to this past weekend when we were talking about this whole set up, and we decided to take the box springs out from under the bed (because we have a dog that jumps up on it and we didn't want him to get hurt jumping up or down). Now we're back to a bed that's up to our knees that we fall in to. Not to mention, I was changing the sheets over the weekend and we noticed that both sides now have major indentations where we lay. Not sure if this bed is going to make the long haul. Perhaps this bed would be better suited for more petite people? We're both tall, as I mentioned, and he weighs 235lbs and I'm 165lbs. But from what we researched, we're exactly who would benefit from using this bed! And the biggest shame, after all is said and done, everything cost my husband over $1200! Overall: major disappointment!
