I was so excited to get my purple mattress, it was back ordered 3 weeks and I talked about it everyday and even started a countdown with my coworkers. My mattress actually shipped a week early and got here surprisingly fast! I feel like this mattress understands me, and I feel like it worships my curves. I couldn't be happier and I never want to leave my bed. Also it came with 2 sleep masks which I thought were really cute. I even changed my Facebook cover photo to a picture of me laying on the bed, thank you purple :)

Day 1: unpacked purple, HEAVY, AWKWARD, HARD TO MOVE! Laid on it, pretty excited. This definitely feels different than any beds I've laid on. Sat up... Hmmm... Not a lot of movement to my husband, that's good. Doesn't feel too hard to lay on, but sitting up I can feel my back compressing. What's that smell? Maybe it will dissipate. Will our sheets fit? Do I like this bumpy feel to the top? It feels like an egg crate under this top layer. Why are my feet hanging of the end of the bed? I'm only 5'7... They've never done than before, is this bed shorter? Hmm, look at that, it's like 2 inches shorter. Night 1: noticed the smell immediately, but still hopeful it'll fade, and the bed felt very supportive. Within the first ten minutes, my shoulders were being pinched in such a way as my hands fell asleep. I'm 5 months pregnant and side sleep mostly. My lower back feels supported great, but it's hurting my round ligaments in my hips, put my pillow between my legs, nope, And I can't feel my arms, I adjust to my back to let my arms wake up, OUCH! Even more painful on my hips. Fluff a pillow under my legs.... Nope, that's just as bad. Why does my pillow under my head feel like a rock now too? It was like this all night. They are right, it doesn't hold heat, I was cold before the night even began, which is a plus, but I'm still out on whether this is the bed for us. My Husband reported readjusting all night, too. He's unsure if it felt too hard or too soft? My guess is too hard under that top layer. Sitting up and standing this morning was easier, my lower back wasn't stiff, but man my hips are mad....Moving on to night two... 2 months later: (7 months pregnant) Finally, my husband seems to have adjusted to the bed, about 2 weeks in, we put a softer memory foam on top of it because of the constant pinching/pressure spot to my shoulders. I'm finally able to sleep. While this bed has been wonderful for my lower back issues as it's hard as heck and keeps me in alignment, I would definitely not say this is the best mattress for us. We simply cannot use it the way it was intended, sheets constrict the gel thing on the top, which lets face it folks, who isn't going to use a sheet on their bed, I have kids... Pee? Poo? Vomit? So it automatically made for a hard bed, it's supportive for sure, and that's the only reason I didn't return it. I don't wake up MOST nights with lower back pain. So there's it's only redeeming quality. I had to add a mattress topper to make it not hurt my shoulders as I'm a side sleeper. But I am free of lower sciatica pain. Seems to me it's a trade off...

I slept on innerspring mattresses my entire life (even worked for a spring manufacturer for years), and was skeptical of foam mattresses. Purple converted me! The grid makes it feel like you're floating. I always had trouble falling asleep on my back; not anymore. No more uncomfortable hips and shoulders. It's supportive without feeling too firm. It's soft, but you don't sink into it. Quality of sleep has vastly improved for me and my sleeping partner.

This is definitely not like any traditional mattress I've used before. It's very comfortable. There's a certain springyness to the top layer, and a solid foamy layer beneath that. When I lay down for bed, I find myself saying "holy crap this is a comfortable mattress".

This mattress is well made and the process of getting it home was very simple. Unfortunately we are several weeks in my husband and I feel as though this is not the right mattress for us. It is much too firm for us. I am hoping the return process is as simple as the purchasing one.

It's all the best things about a memory foam mattress without the downsides (heat trapping, loosing shape, that quicksand feeling of not being able to get out of bed). I LOVE it. It has significant reduced my lower back pain, and my body got used to it immediately.

This bed is a life saver. I've been to physical therapy and massage therapy for my back, shoulder, and neck, and this bed has helped tremendously. It's firm support and it aligns your spine. Also, If you're thinking that you're going to sink into this bed like you would a cloud, not quite. It is soft but not like a memory foam or pillow top. It's more firm that soft. I would definitely recommend to people who has back/shoulder pain.

At first I wasn't sure about the mattress because it feels so different from the way an average mattress feels, but after sleeping on it for a while I've noticed that I never wake up sore or tired. I always feel well rested and my body feels completely fine. With my old mattress I was waking up almost every morning with a terrible pain in my spine and lower back. It almost felt as though someone just hit me in the back with a shovel. I couldn't sleep on my side either or I would have serious hip pain that made mornings bad when they didn't have to be. Not like the purple mattress at all, I really like it. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to try something new.

Believe the hype, seriously. I've shopped all kinds of mattresses and was sceptical at first, but Purple beats them all easily. More comfortable than memory foam and latex, , cooler than both, and CHEAPER! If you're like me, and don't have cash to throw around, check out the financing. Fair rates and reasonable payments. The only thing that would have made me any happier on my purchase is waiting until I saw the free pillow promotion! (drats!). I absolutely love Purple, and if you don't you're one in a million.

I have bought purple mattresses in every size for people of all ages in my family. The old folks love them. The kids love them. The parents love them. the Dogs and cats love them too. Guests also make comments on their visits saying the slept so well and how nice the mattress is. So there you have it. It's the best mattress in the world.
