It is a surprisingly great mattress. I say surprisingly because i'd never had anything except a spring based mattress before, and i bought this at the recommendation of my co-worker, who had purchased one themselves weeks earlier. I was a bit worried it would be too soft, as i like a firmer mattress, but the purple gives amazing support and once i got used to the strange texture, i slept really well on it, and have since.

After doing months of research I finally decided to go with the Purple mattress. I bought a queen size signature mattress. The Good: The mattress is comfortable in a utilitarian kind of way. It took my husband and me about two weeks to adjust to the mattress. During those two weeks we woke up stiff. But this was to be expected. Now, it seems to be a good fit for us both. An odd sort of side-effect is that I've been having seriously vivid dreams. I assume it's because I've been getting better sleep. It's not a bad thing, just a surprise. We live in a cold climate and I noticed that the mattress is COLD. I fixed that by turning our electric blanket on about a half-hour before bed. The Bad: The mattress smell was noticeable for about three weeks. It wasn't over powering but it was detectable. Not my favorite smell. The non-recyclable (also bad): The purple duffel bag tube thing is vinyl and not recyclable! It's such a shame! During my research, I looked into the packing material to see what the deal was there. The purple website said that most of the packing was recyclable. I should have looked further. Worse, they have you cut open the vinyl bag to get the mattress out, so there is no chance of re-purposing the thing. It surprises me that will all the clever engineering that goes into the purple mattress, that something that simple can't be figured out. It would have seriously changed my decision process had I figured this out before I bought the mattress. All in all, the mattress itself is good. Not mind blowing, but it does what its supposed to do. Our backs don't hurt and we are getting good sleep. One thing that I was not expecting (probably everyone else did, except for me) was that you can feel the grid 100%. It took some getting used to. It's not terribly luxurious. It is fine, but I'm not sure how I feel about it at this point. Maybe it will grow on me. Will I buy another Purple mattress in 10 years? Honestly, I don't know. We'll see how long it takes for the mattress to sag, and if they can figure out a more eco-friendly way of packaging the thing.

I've been looking to purchase a new bed for almost a year. After much research and recommendations I decided to go ahead with Purple. Couldn't be happier! I've yet to wake up sweating in the middle of the night, and get a full restful nights sleep EVERY night. I would recommend the bed to everyone.

I've had the mattress for about 30 days. So far no complaints. It feels soft yet firm at the same time. I sleep on my stomach mostly and haven't had any issues. It definitely stays cooler than my old foam mattress. You have to try laying on one to truly understand how it feels.

My husband loves this mattress! It took a couple of weeks to get used to it, but within 2 or 3 days he was commenting that he was no longer waking up with back pain. And the intensity of the muscle spasms in my back were decreasing! However, it actually caused more pain when I slept on my stomach...I know that's a bad way to sleep any way, it's just been a hard habit to break... So, if you are a side and/or back sleeper, this is a fantastic mattress! If you are a stomach sleeper, stop it or find a different mattress.

Overall I'm very happy with the mattress. It's a little hard to turn over because it really conforms to your body and you sink into it, but I'm getting used to that. After I initially ordered the bed I did not receive any emails notifying me that it was being processed or when it shipped but I ordered just before Labor Day weekend and it did arrive soon after that.

I'm a long-time sufferer of lower back pain from 3 herniated discs in my lower lumbar. I'm male, 6'-2" with an average build of 205 lbs. Less than two years of sleeping on a very expensive and now crappy pillow top mattress (rhymes with Laatva) from deep, permanent body indentations (even thought I'm not exactly crushing it), I really got sick and tired of waking up every morning feeling like a bronco kicked me in the back down a drainage ditch, leaving me for dead. I saw a YouTube commercial for the Purple mattress a few weeks ago and decided to give it a go. Since I was just going to try it, I waited on buying a platform frame, so I tested out the mattress on the floor to see if it lived up to its hype. The next morning, I woke up with NO BACK PAIN and actually felt like I got a good night's rest for the first time in over a year! Second night / morning...same result! Third night / morning... sealed the deal. I'm very satisfied with my new Purple mattress! I'm all set up now with a platform frame and thankful every time I wake up pain free and as well rested as Rip Van Winkle. Time will tell if it holds its form over time, but as of right now... Well done TPM!

I unfortunately had to return this one because it wasn't supportive enough for my back. I will say, I have some back issues and I'm really picky with my mattresses. It was comfortable to sit on, but I'd wake up sore in the morning. Great customer service though! I am so grateful for the team that helped me at Purple ♥️

My favourite place to be is on this bed now. My Sheex compliment it nicely until i get some Purple sheets. I don't like my mattress protector and even though it's an allergy one, i want to try the purple protector. I have a 3.5 year old son who loves to bring his mommy beverages in bed. This mattress will be protected for life because i want to keep it for life! I've never slept better and felt happier about a big purchase i made. :)
