This is hands down the best mattress on the market. I purchased the New Purple Mattress in Firm after I drove two hours to test one before buying. It only took me 30 seconds on the mattress to know that I was going to swipe my credit card. Why did I drive that far to test one? I was worried the grid pattern would be weird. I'd imagined it trapping my elbows if I leaned on my side to read, or trapping my dogs paws as they walked on it. Such nonsense. The grid is not weird - it's bliss! I have been interested in a purple mattress for years now. My wife and I even went out of our way to visit the purple store on a family vacation just to get a feel for the purple mattresses. We had very high hopes for this bed and my wife indeed loved it. Unfortunately, it never really agreed with my back (which admittedly agrees with very few beds) and also after several weeks sleeping on it I developed fairly severe pain in my shoulder. Due to these issues, we ended up returning it. The return process has been very straightforward so far and we're glad the bed will go to helping those in need.

I have a bad back and was very worried about buying a mattress online that I hadn't been able to try first. I had also heard that it may take some getting used to. I don't understand why people are saying that. I usually am very stiff in the morning when I wake up and have to stretch prior to getting out of bed. I now wake up with no pain at all, no longer have to stretch in the morning in order to get moving.
