As a mom to a picky autistic child.. Mac and cheese is his go to. That said, it's not the healthiest and he literally can taste any difference in a product and will immediately push it away, but I figured why not give it a try. I will say cook time is a lot longer and the pasta itself is thicker.. but 12-13 minutes gives it the perfect al dente cook and it tastes just like the original. The cheese sauce is a slightly darker color but my child ate a bowl with no problem. The fiber and protein is something he lacks in his normal diet so this is definitely going to be stocked up on!

Comes with the perfect size for family dinners even had leftovers for work lunches the next day. Easy way to get more protein in your diet and eat something healthier than regular Mac & cheese and the kids don't even realize it it's better for them. I kept us feeling fool longer.

Still easy to make, although I did substitute the butter and milk with blended cottage cheese with the sauce packet to increase the protein and creaminess. I also really like the distinctive packaging making it clear what the difference between this and the original..

The smell is that classic buttery-cheese powder hit, kind of artificial but nostalgic. Portion is decent for a quick meal, and the taste is creamy, slightly salty, and simple comfort food.

It has a more al dente texture even when fully cooked. My husband said the pasta also had a different taste but I didn't notice. The kids also loved it.

It calls for half a stick of butter and 1/4 cup water which is way too much. I decided to try this one with half of the butter and water and the sauce still came out too watery. I thought the noodles tasted no different than regular pasta but the sauce was pretty much flavorless. It doesn't even taste cheesy. I would not recommend this or buy it again.

And those Al Dente noodles were consistently thick and tender, with some crispy bacon added it seriously left my mouth watering for more.
