With two dogs and a wife, mattress real estate is at a premium-even with a king size mattress. The purple mattress hasn't solved that problem, but I no longer spend the night rolling from one side to the other trying to alleviate the pain in my hips. Back pain is completely gone, as well. I now sleep for hours at a time and am constantly surprised when I wake up and see the clock. Even went for the stretchy sheets. Money well spent!

We now have 2 king purple mattress. If you are under 300lbs the original is all you need. We absolutely love this mattress as my wife likes soft beds and I like firm beds. We both love this bed! It doesn't matter side sleeper, stomach sleeper, back sleeper this one is for everyone. And my back pain is gone with this mattress. We also hate sleeping on anything else. When we are at hotels we are like, "this is not a purple!" Buy this thing now ans you won't regret it!

When I first saw the ad for the Purple mattress (with "The Egg Test"), I got pretty excited. I said to myself, "I need that mattress!". I thought it looked like really smart technology, and I was convinced it would be exactly what I needed. But alas, I was wrong. You see, I have a dislocated Sternoclavicular Joint (that's where your collarbone meets your sternum), from an old ski injury. My collarbone pops in and out of socket depending on how I move my arm (don't worry, it doesn't hurt). Unfortunately, I can't sleep on my side as a result. If I sleep on my side, that joint will ache from the pressure. When I saw the ad for your mattress, I thought "Finally! I'll be able to sleep on my side again!" Fast forward to last month when I finally ordered a mattress (after a couple years since first seeing the ad), when I discovered that my hope of sleeping on my (right) side again will go unfulfilled. The Purple mattress does not absorb my body weight (150lbs.) enough to relieve the pressure on my SCJ so I can lay on that side. Needless to say, I was disappointed. However, I do like the mattress and still think it is very good technology. The grid does absorb your body and provide better support than standard mattresses, but it is definitely not as god as they portray it in their ads. I think it would be better if the grid were deeper (which I guess is the case with the more expensive models?). Basically, I would like it much better if I sank into the grid a little more... when I lay on the mattress, I can feel the grid absorb parts of my body (my butt, for example), but not much else. I don't really sink into the mattress very much, but feel like I am laying on top of it, which makes it feel like a fairly firm mattress overall.

My girlfriend and I had just bought our first house together, and we needed a new bed. We researched and researched, and found that the Purple mattress was our best option. So we got the Purple Queen-sized mattress. It was the best sleep we've ever gotten, and years of back pain had simply disappeared! As years passed, we got a couple of dogs who love to cuddle in the bed. We knew we needed something bigger, but just weren't ready to drop the cash yet. Then our dog Champ was sprayed by a skunk...and we stupidly didn't purchase a mattress protector! Our beloved Purple bed was ruined, and we urgently needed to upgrade. We tried some other beds at the store, but nothing was like our Purple bed. So we bit the bullet, and purchased the King-sized original Purple mattress. Thank you to Purple we got free sheets for our new bed, and we also decided to spend that extra bit of cash for the mattress protector! Now we are about a month in to our new Purple bed, and we couldn't be more pleased. The mattress protector is working extremely well, and the sheets are the most comfortable I have ever felt in my life!!! Very stretchy and unbelievably soft. Whatever size bed you need, get a Purple. Spend that extra money for the mattress protector and sheets, and you'll never think to look back.

My husband and I both think it is not comfortable enough to firm and not very soft. I've also had several family members tell me the same thing when they laid on the bed. It's not what I thought it would be. I think the return policy might be great but I'm still waiting on confirmation to return the mattress.

It's a little strange, knowing what the top layer of this mattress is made of. You can feel the "grids" through the sheets and mattress protector with your fingertips, but lying on it is completely different. There's no sagging or mushiness. It's very supportive. No problems sleeping through the night now, and it sleeps very cool.

its a clever idea that doesn't work. The rubber is so stiff that when i lay on my side there is an actual gap between my ancke and the bed. This puts lateral tension on my knee which leads to pain..because of the pain I try sleeping on my back but the pressure points on my shoulders are so great my arms fall asleep. I slept on a wooden bed in Thailand that had more give then this thing..because of the knee tension a person could seriously get injured from this bed

I'm just under a month in and so far I love this bed. When I wake up I don't even notice the mattress. I wake up just knowing I slept good. I think that's even better than having a soft comfy mattress. It almost as if the mattress doesn't exist. I just lay down and my body is relaxed and I quickly fall asleep

The night I got this mattress delivered I am mediately put it on my bed and unrolled it and laid on it for the first time and I can honestly say I've never laid on a more comfortable mattress. So extremely comfortable I sometime sit at work and I can't wait to get home and lay on my bed.

The mattress it self is a dream. It is so comfortable and I can sleep all night without pain. However, we have an adjustable base - so we ordered two twins. The one downside to this mattress is that it does not have firm edge support - no biggie if you don't sleep on the edge - right? Well if you get 2 twins to make a King - then there will always be a huge divide in between the two, which equals no cuddle time and makes other bedroom activities difficult as well. If I had ordered a full king - then I think it would be a 5 star + rating for sure. For reference - we are largeish people. My husband weighs 215 and is 6'1 and I am 5'6 and weigh 180 - just for reference.
