I am still amazed I can get in bed and feel comfortable immediately. I used to spend 30-60 minutes (minimum) just trying to get my muscles to relax enough to let me get to sleep. Then I would wake up in the middle of the night or early morning with hip pain that was easier to deal with if I got out of bed. I did have hip pain the first night on the Purple Mattress and just a slight shift in position eased the pressure and let me fall asleep again. I have discovered I can rest in almost any position on this mattress. It distributes weight in a way that does not cause or make pain worse. Most of the time I feel less pain when I wake up. I have tried memory foam mattresses and one overlay. The memory foam mattress was comfortable but I would overheat and found it hard to just turn over. I felt like I had to get myself out of the body impression in the mattress and by then I was wide awake again. Not a good option for a light sleeper. The memory foam overlay was a disaster! I thought I was trying to sleep in a Toxic fume field. I read (or heard?) that the Purple Mattress had a light nutty odor if you even noticed it at all. I noticed it as soon as I unzipped my mattress. I could still smell it the first night but was able to sleep as long as I kept my head on a pillow or put an extra couple layers of sheets between my head and the mattress. I rarely notice the smell after several weeks. I had my mattress on the floor until a few days ago though so it may not have aired out as quickly as it would have on a bed frame. Risky to spend the money on a mattress that you don't get to try out first. This was totally worth the risk. Great Mattress!

I married my sweet husband in February...with his last name also came his mattress. He likes a firm mattress...I want to sleep on a cloud. I have been to every doctor imaginable because I have been so incredibly fatigued over the past 5 months or so. I thought it was a medical problem and was becoming frustrated because they couldn't seem to find the cause. Our Purple mattress arrived yesterday...I have never been more excited to go to bed. The mattress was so comfortable no matter what position I slept in...it just absorbed me like I love yet provided support. The ONLY thing that ached when I woke up was my neck...because I need a new pillow!! I am beyond grateful for this mattress! I woke up this morning feeling almost back to normal. (I'm still a little sleepy but compared to the last several months so much better!!) Thank you Purple people! Thank you so much for giving me back myself!!! :) Now I can actually sleep in the bed with my husband and not resort to the couch!! :) I will give another review after some time but I had to share how great it was even after one night.

so I was pretty skeptical at first. Like how could it be this good. I was probably the worst sleeper in the world. I'd go from tmy stomach to back t o side and back again in a rotating symphony of snoring dance. Well, a miracle happened. I went to sleep on my side one night woke up in the same spot. I was so confused I thought I had just fallen a sleep. Looked at the clock and to my surprise. It was morning and I wasn't tired. Thanks for your wonderful product you probably saved my life and someone else's I probably could have hurt someone with my dance of destruction.

Mattress works fine for me as a side sleeper but for my husband he finds it too soft. He doesn't like the 'sinking' feeling. I had hoped the mattress would work for both of us. We are still only ~30 days into the 90 day trial period.. so we are still on the fence if we want to keep it or not.

I got my purple mattress because I was looking for a new mattress after having the same one for a decade. I had slept on a purple many times at my friend's house and it was the best sleep I ever had so I had to get one for myself. Little did I know that when I finally splurged on it and it arrived (perfect condition, fast shipping, no issues with payment), I slept on it for ONE night and woke up with body aches!! I had no choice but to keep sleeping on it because of all the hassle of getting it but every night it got BETTER. All it needed was a little breaking in (like a quality shoe). Amazed, I also started to realize that I NEVER slept hot on it. The gaps in the gel flex layer keep you cool ALL NIGHT!! I'm not a hot sleeper though and as the months got colder I realized that although the purple mattress is not cold to the touch, it retains NO body heat at all, so every night I was FREEZING no matter how many blankets I added. I did buy a mattress pad and that fixed the issue for the cold season, but if you are a cold sleeper then maybe consider that bit. But that is a small thing to compare to all the other WONDERFUL things about the purple mattress!! With school rolling around the corner after getting it in the summer, I noticed that the mattress was so easy to roll around in (firm and doesn't leave impression) that it made MUCH easier to get out of bed!! Also, I don't really sleep with a pillow as a stomach sleeper and the edge of this mattress it PERFECT to lay your face over when I don't want a face full of mattress (no rimmed edges!)! Wonderfully, my back pain went away too and the firmness of this mattress made it comfortable to lounge, work, and watch tv all day in. It is also true that the purple mattress absorbs a lot of movement so you won't get woken up by your partner (or in my case my cat) moving around in the bed. Overall, this is the best mattress I've ever slept on, it's been a year and I have no regrets! My cats love it, I love you and hopefully you will love it too!! (But I do recommend sleeping on it as a trial if you can like if your friend has one) Side note: when I got COVID-19 and had to quarantine in my room 24/7, the purple mattress was so so worth the cost, I would've died (sarcastically) if I had to quarantine on my old bed. So get it!!

I'm still in my 100 night trial period and so far it's the best mattress I've slept on. I have noticed that sleeping on my side with the purple pillow is less comfortable than sleeping on my back. I'm contemplating upgrading to the purple 3 before my trial ends. Great mattress for the money!!

The worst thing about my purple mattress is that it distracts me during the day. I think about how much I can't wait to get in bed at night because it is like heaven laying on this mattress. Other than that I love everything else about it. I still have about two more months to "try it out" and I can tell you right now that there is no way I would let them take it back. My husband is a big guy who tends to be warm when he sleeps and he does not get hot at all with this mattress. I tend to be cold and as long as I have a blanket I am super comfortable. With my old mattress my joints would be creaky in the morning. Not any more. I wake up and my whole body feels relaxed and rested. I am a side sleeper and with my old mattress my shoulder would hurt in he morning and sometimes during the night as well, causing me to need to roll over. Not any more. No pressure points at all. It is truly amazing and I am so glad we took the risk of buying a Purple. I will never go back.

This is the best bed we have ever had. There was about a one week adjustment period in the beginning, but we sleep so much better, we don't roll around as much, and our body aches and pains feel so much better! Absolutely reccomend this bed. I would also recommend getting the matress cover at the same time. Wonderful bed!

This mattress is really nice not too soft, not too hard just contours to your body. The back and hip pain i was experiencing has minimized by 90%. I swear its due to this mattress! Good sleep remains to be seen because my 3 year old keeps crawling in my bed every night. Ill post an update later.

I was hesitant to buy Purple because my husband and I are each just a little under 300 pounds, and all of the reviews I could find - ALL BY THINNER PEOPLE - said that they wouldn't recommend it for heavier people. How would they know? I did a lot of research and finally decided to give it a try. After all, if it didn't work for us we could always get our money back and try a different brand. Nothing to lose, right? We went all out and got the Purple king-size mattress, platform, pillows, mattress cover, and sheets. It was all here in a week and we love it ALL! We've tried I don't know how many different pillows looking for comfort, and we finally got them. Don't be dissuaded by how heavy they are. They're FABULOUS! And with the boosters you can adjust them to the perfect height for how you sleep. The mattress is so comfortable and supportive for both my husband, who's a stomach/back sleeper, and for me, a side-sleeper. And the mattress protector and sheets? They're luxurious and a perfect fit. There's no bunching up or coming off. I'm ordering another set as soon as I finish this review. LOVE IT ALL!
