at first when we got our purple mattress, it took a few days to get used to the change. It's not like any mattress we've had before. It is very soft, and yet you don't sink in and get swallowed by the softness. It is firm yet soft at the same time. Very supportive yet like sleeping on a cloud. We also like that it doesn't have a lot of motion transfer: when I toss and turn in my sleep it does not make the other side of the bed move. I definitely recommend purple, but please know it's not like any mattress you have had before.

Here is the main point. By the time you wrap you purple wonder in a thick cloth covering, it does not really "give" as one wd expect, or as you picture illustrations suggest; it is still a hard foam mattress. My wife has big hips & scoliosis so she gets more "sinking". I am OK, but I could be sleeping on a hard form only slightly resilient surface that is not as clever as Heidi by a shot.

I did a lot of research before purchasing our Purple Queen mattress. I'm so glad we did! Gone are nights of tossing and turning because my shoulders hurt. Gone are mornings with a stiff, sore back. I love this mattress. Would buy it again in a heartbeat. Great job, Purple!

I sleep hot and am frequently in hotels with mattresses from every corner of the world. Purple is the only mattress that I don't wake up feeling like I immediately need to shower. The sheets are some of the best sheets I have EVER come into contact with and I don't know how I've survived without a weighted blanket.

Buying a mattress is complicated, it's tricky, pricey and well- down right controversial with your partner. We all have our specific needs and we all get weary of this 'big purchase'. But with purple- all of our preconceived notions and hesitation about buying a mattress and one online for that matter were wiped away. The clever and honest advertising and the plethora of information and mechanics about their product readily available online put us to ease. So we took the leap of faith into better nights of sleep! The mattress came as promised and neatly delivered, it really is heavy (we ordered a king)- so put your mind to ease- it's well constructed. Put it on the box springs and watched all of its glory come to life when we released it from its cage of plastic waiting to breathe! After 3 months- it continues to live up to its name and design. I don't feel my husband or the dogs moving around in the bed. I can even feel the noticeable difference in the bed cradling my body like a mother with a new born. Oh- and this bed keeps you cool. The best purchase we have ever made and our muscles and spinal cord thank Purple! It really does meet the needs of everyones likes and needs...what are you waiting for...try it and if you dont like it, call them! A friend of mine recommended the Purple mattress and I did extensive research before buying it. I'm a frugal person so making this kind of purchase was a big deal to me, even with a free trial. I bought the seat cushion first and it really helped so I decided to splurge on the bed. I have pretty moderate health issues including stenosis and several herniated discs in my neck and lumbar region. I have sciatica/SI joint issues and hip and knee pain. With my old mattress, I was waking up hunched over and really struggling to walk to the bathroom when I first woke up. Now I am pretty much standing straight in the morning. I have a mirror on my door and saw a noticeable change. Listen, I still I have back and hip issues but they have improved. After about 10 days I did have a slight regression in sleep quality but I stuck it out and my body adjusted as others had said in their reviews. I bought the Purple 2 because it was firmer than the 3 and I am happy with it. The money is worth my quality of life. I do wish the mattress was a little firmer but obviously there's some science to this. I am planning to buy the pillow next. Also, if you have back issues, I suggest delivery because the mattress is very heavy. Even rotating it is a 2 person job. One last thing, I am really particular about smell and some mattresses that are packaged have an industrial smell to them which drives me crazy and give me a headache. There was a slight smell at first but it dissipated in less than a week. Overall, I recommend this mattress if you are in pain.

This bed has quite literally saved my life and my marriage. On our old bed, I slept maybe 1-2 hours a night....every single night. I was starting to lose my mind! Sitting up all night while watching your spouse sleep, hearing the widows rattle from the snoring, makes life unbearable. After a year of saving we finally took the plunge and ordered a king sized purple bed. The night we unrolled it and crawled in, I slept for 12 hours straight! I heard nothing, I felt no movement, just beautiful sleep! The snoring is less, the jarring launch out of the bed when hubby rolls over is gone. 2am is no longer a time in my world. We bought the the California king size mattress and platform base! It is SO fantastic!! I was warned by people that it took a little sleeping on to get used to it, but we have loved it from day one!! The mattress is soft and squishy, yet gives my body the support it needs. I've always LOVED sleeping on my stomach but it isn't very comfortable for your back, but it is much for comfortable on the PURPLE!! The platform base in easily assembled and sturdy/strong! We haven't had any squeaks or anything no matter what shenanigans we are getting into! I can also fit so many things under the bed and we don't have to have the nasty boxsprings so it's amazing! The purple sheets were a little strange at first because they are so stretchy, but I like that now. Overall I would totally recommend a PURPLE to anyone and everyone! I love it and I am bragging about it all the time! < 3

I am 6' 1" 350 lbs. Just received my bed. Shipping was timely, platform base was an easy setup. Mattress was easy to unpack and roll out. This is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept upon! Big people, don't hesitate! The purple original mattress is the one for you. I am thrilled!

Mattress was conveniently packed, easy to unpack, and shipped fast. I move around in my sleep typically, my wife is the same. Now neither one of us can tell when the other is moving and the mattress stays cool which is excellent. On a support note it cradles you and yes you can feel the grid just gently touching the mattress but you cannot feel it while lying on it. Never wake up sore anymore, no shoulder pain, no neck pain, no lower back tension. I've had it for 2 months and waited 2 months before I gave in a review. Excellent purchase highly recommend it.
