I'm a 36 year old woman, size 16, 200 lbs who has a ruptured disc in my low back, nerve pain in my low back and right leg. After a few nights adjusting to the feel of this mattress I love it! It forms to my hips and doesn't apply too much pressure but aligns my spine well. For the first time after 17 years of marriage my husband and I can cuddle for a couple of hours and fall asleep without getting uncomfortable and tossing and turning. I still move a bit during the night, but much, much less. It's more comfortable than any mattress I've tried. I sleep much deeper, can get comfortable on my back and even my husband says he doesn't wake up as a achy as before. It is pretty heavy and hard to move, but the good sleep is well worth it.

In general, we're pretty satisfied with our Purple. It was super easy to set up, and a little satisfying watching it self-inflate and settle itself into its new form. Order, delivery, and setup were all easy. I'm mostly a side sleeper, and so is my wife, though. In retrospect, we probably should have gotten the Purple mattress specifically designed for side-sleepers, because the firmness of the original purple is such that I do still get some pressure-related pain in my hips when I sleep on my side. That being said, I'm comfortable knowing that Purple's guarantee allows me to return it if I'm not completely satisfied. If I do that, I would still buy the Purple mattress recommended for us side-sleepers.

My husband and I realized our back pain is gone after two weeks of sleeping on this mattress. It's a great mattress and are so happy we took the plunge and tried it. We're were disappointed at how long it took to get to us. Ordered it on a Sunday and didn't get it until the following Monday. It's ahipped ground. Other than that it's been wonderful. Not too firm/not too soft. Just right!!

I have had the purple mattress for about three weeks now and love it. I was having a lot of neck pain and back pain before. After sleeping on the Purple Mattress, my neck and back pain are gone. It isn't too firm or too soft and gives just enough support for a good night sleep. Love my mattress!

It took some time (about a week) for my back muscles to adjust. I compare it to when you first start seeing a chiropractor; your muscles need to get used to being in the right position. I purchased the classic mattress. I wish the top layer was an inch thicker. I am heavy so my hips tend to bottom out after awhile when on my side. I am working on that issue so I will see how it goes or if I will have to return. I really don't want to return because this mattress is great, I just can't afford the new Purple.

The mattress was a gift for my daughter and her husband. Here is a review from her: We definitely can tell the difference in the cooler mattress. The "purple" bamboo sheets seem to keep it too cool so we have switched back to our cotton sheets. I prefer to sleep cooler so it works great for me. My husband has needed to add extra blankets to regulate his temps. It has taken some adjusting with the firmness. I am sleeping very well and enjoying a cooler mattress. My husband does not feel my movement in the night and is able to get out of bed in the mornings without waking me up. That is a great improvement.

First off just like the title states this is the best bed i have ever bought. We have always bought Serta the past 3 times and noticed our last mattress did not offer the support and started to wear quicker. Since day one you will notice certain aches and pains will start to fade away. Then you will notice you will wake up in the position you fell asleep in and feel rested. On a personal note I'm a big guy and have lower back pain with a fair share of sciatica. since we have moved to Purple i have had no flare up and noticed the added support when i sleep on my stomach which would usually cause pain and numbness in my legs.

I already sent in a review right after I bought not 1 but 2 twin mattresses. I didn't get a response. For what you're charging per mattress, for the Faith I put in you to have purchased 2 mattresses, sight unseen, I believe I deserved better. I should've received a response back. And immediately. Everything was great in shipping etc. Buu the chemical smell from just one was nasty, pungent & has yet to go away! I've had a large fan blowing out the smell of the mattresses all day, everyday, 24/7 since they arrived. Still no relief & we still don't sleep in that bedroom as we are waiting for the smell to dissipate. That was something that you should've told me prior to purchase. I feel ripped off & would like my $$ back because of the endless chemical smell & your lack of concern. I also have no intention of shipping them back because the weight of each mattress is very heavy & I wouldn't be able to get the mattresses back in their duffle bags. What now? I need to use those beds. The smell is making that impossible. Sincerely, Cheryl P

My wife and I have been sleeping on an old mattress for the last few years. We thought our aches and pains were just a part of aging. Then I decided to buy a Purple mattress. Most of our aches and pains have gone, we're both sleeping so much better at night and getting up less frequently during the night. This is by far the best mattress we've ever owned. Now we're just hoping the comfort doesn't deteriorate over time and be a lumpy mess in 5 years.

Love love my purple. Got a long size over a year ago. My hip pain went away almost instantly. I just got rid of my purple cause I wanted an adjustable and cheaped out and got one from some company that had the split king with Mattress for under 2 grand. Got that bed and after a week all I did was complain about hip and leg pain so I ordered the twin xl purple for myself. First day sleeping on it again and no pain. I will never buy any mattress but purple. Both I have had were original. My sister in law got the#2 and #3. I slept in the 2 and it was just as comfy as the original.
