First I'll say that I love the mattress, but it did take some tome getting use to it. The first week or so I would wake up with stiffness throughout my spine and not feeling as though I got any rest that night. But after the week the stiffness went away and I was falling asleep faster and staying asleep throughout the night.

The bed was delivered on time, we were hoping it would be the bed for us, but for some reason it was stiff and gave us shoulder pain. Since we are side sleepers i guess the bed was not conforming on our body when we go to our side. But over all the bed looks durable and well built, and customer service was good.

Definitely recommend. Before this purchase we had just bought a temperpedic and paid over $2000.00 for it so I was a bit hesitant on this purchase but it has been the best investment so far not to mention im 5 months pregnant. My husband and I would highly recommend

I ordered this mattress after getting a pushing recommendation from my brother on them in relation to my back pain complaints over the last year. My brother had lower back surgery so shared in my polite but had a raving review of testing the purple line. I took a change and after much research ordered the original line (cost vs reviews) to what I was exactly looking for. Shipping was a breeze and setup even more so; the first night was a bit hard followed by some slight softening in a weeks time. But my body did not get the conforming fit that the purple line markets about, so my back continued to ache in the morning. I gave it a few more months with no signed of further conforming being seen. I went to a local mattress row shop that had the purple line and in person tested the three other models they had; 2 was too similar to original, Hybrid P. 3 was very conforming and feel like the sudden dream sleep I needed and Hybrid P. 4 felt like a total cloud but with a slight sinking feeling. After another weeks debate I have called in my exchange order for the Hybrid P. 3, I hope that will resolve my issues and I have many happy years of sleep ahead of me. So If you have back issues & sleep on your side more then not: Look at the Hybrid lines! The original will not work for you.

My wife and I had been looking for a new mattress for a while, to replace our 10-year old pillow top that had become unbearably hard. After visiting several retail stores and laying on dozens of mattresses, they all began to feel the same. One day, I noticed an ad for Purple pop up in my Facebook feed--the one with Goldilocks and the eggs. Entertaining, certainly, but also intriguing--too good to be true? Possibly. But at the price, and with the return policy, what was there to lose? It's no lie--this bed *will* fix your sleep problems. Our 10-year old pillowtop resulted in most mornings waking up with debilitating lower back pain and stiffness. To help alleviate the stiffness of the mattress, we added a 1" memory foam pad, but that only created more problems. It now required Herculean effort to roll over, causing me to wrench my back on more than one occasion. It also made the bed warmer than I would prefer. However, after a week on the Purple mattress, all back pain was gone--it was wonderful to be able to spring out of bed without having to shuffle across the bedroom floor like an old man. The responsiveness of the materials also makes changing positions almost effortless. It's certainly possible that after sleeping on a 10-year old mattress that *any* new one would have provided the same relief, but I absolutely love the feel of the Purple mattress. The unique firm-yet-soft and the texture (some don't like that they can feel the grid through the cover, but I do) make it a joy to lay in every night. The only reason I don't give this a 5-star review is that while the bed is extremely comfortable, I find it does not sleep cool as advertised. In fact, I don't really notice any difference at all in temperature between the Purple and our old mattress. Somewhat disappointing, but certainly not a deal breaker by any means--perhaps it is our choice of sheets? IDK. In any case, my wife says she has slept better than she has in a long time, and I agree.

Before this bed I have always been a stomach sleeper with a little bit of side sleeping. I would try and try to sleep on my back but I never got comfortable and reverted back to stomach and side. Now I can sleep all through the night on my back and I even wake up in the same spot and position that I fell asleep in. That rarely happened before!

Like they say, give it time to let your body adjust to it. My lower back was actually hurting a few days, but it was after years of sleeping on such a bad mattress that my body needed to adjust to the Purple mattress. After the first initial "uncomfortable" days, I've never slept better and it actually felt like sleeping on a firm cloud. Bed also sleeps cool and I also have the Purple sheets which prevent sheets from becoming undone/moving around. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase and have the Purple pillow on the way to have the complete package of a great nights sleep for years to come.

I have never in 31 years been so mistreated by a company. Almost 2 weeks... no mattress. I can't say what the bed is like because well I still haven't gotten it. I can say this; I wish I had ordered from ANY other company. To spend so much money just to be ignored and deceived. I suffer from pretty severe back pain. I ordered this mattress thinking it was the quickest & best option... funny how things work out. I am very skeptical about any claims made by this company because I've already seen that costumer service means NOTHING to them and most importantly they are misleading. Hope I didn't throw away almost $1000. The bed would have to be some kind of wonderful for me to recommend them to anyone ever. Just run, stay away, caveat emptor.

To the Princess in all of you. Remember the lullaby from Disney's Lady and the Tramp? Remember how Lady refused to sleep on the floor and whined until she was able to sleep in the bed? After all, what self-respecting dog sleeps on the floor? What does this have to do with a mattress - ah metaphor. As a child, mom & dad's bed is the most comfortable, it's the biggest, the warmest and occupied by those wonderful people that fulfill your every waking need. Fast forward to adulthood, you have your own big girl bed now but it's never quite the same, and you're thinking... "Some day my prince will come?" Yes. Enter Prince Purple, heir to the stardust lands and the clouded throne. This mattress is a heavenly purple cloud. It's the one you've been searching for, your whining is at an end. At night when you wake from a bad dream, it's a hug from your mother. Just turn onto your side and its soft supportive structure is there to comfort you. It is luxurious, for the princess in all of us, it's a dream come true.

The best mattress I have ever slept on. I did lots of research and decided that Purple is the only one that is truly different from all the other sleep choices. I had a different memory foam mattress and it was great for a month or so. But I am 6'2" and 250 lbs and everything sags on me quickly. But not Purple.
