We picked up a queen-sized mattress and 2 pillows from their Pillow Kickstarter back in 2017. My wife and I have had maybe a handful of good nights sleep since owning this mattress. The mattress doesn't run cool, the pillows are horrendously uncomfortable and the included booster doesn't hold air overnight. Because we purchased through Kickstarter, we were unable to exercise the return policy, so we've been stuck with a giant slab of uncomfortable. I've tried multiple types of sheets, mattress protectors, even bought a brand new box spring and nothing seems to prevent myself and my wife waking up in pain and discomfort every single morning. Stay far, far away.

The mattress isn't designed to be used with platform beds. I called customer support for advice, and they asked if I had put a sheet of plywood under the mattress. That's ridiculous. My bed is already designed to support a mattress without a foundation, and plywood would tear the cover of the mattress. The return policy is a headache. They haven't come to pick this one up because they will also donate the mattress to a local charity, but if I donate this mattress, I will have nothing to sleep on. My money won't be refunded until I've submitted proof of a charitable donation and they've called to verify it, so until I get a refund, my money is tied up and I can't buy a new mattress. Meanwhile, my shoulders and back are in agony, and some mornings I can't even turn my head properly because my muscles are so locked up. I think this mattress needs something in it to provide more support. If they tweaked the way they build it somewhat, it could potentially be an awesome mattress.

When I ordered this I was offered a set of sheets they did not come and I could find no way to contact company. The bed is OK as I ordered it because I continually wake up to back pain and hoped this would fix it but there as of now has been no change in this problem. I will give it more time to see if it gets better.

I bought the whole package and will review each part separately but here is my advice when setting up the mattress. Make sure when you open the package, first have the correct side facing down because once it unfurls it is extremely hard to turn it over. It is VERY heavy. It feels good and on the power base it is flexible so it is a nice pairing.

For the back sleeper it is as comfortable as the more expensive major brand. But, I am a side sleeper and I have found it to cause mild discomfort around my upper chest cavity. It would be helpful if there was more give to the mattress at this location.

We finally replaced our mattress that was approaching its 9th year. I had some trepidation about buying this mattress especially since the mattressing we're replacing cost 4 times what PURPLE cost. Shipping was quick. We've only had the PURPLE mattress a couple months. But so far SO SOUND we sleep and more importantly I don't wake up with aches and stiffness. We're very please... I'll update if anything changes

Everything from the crafting to the unwrapping of this project was fun. You can tell this company cares about what they make and their customers. It isn't just that our mattress is comfortable we know that it was crafted by a crazy crew of workers, marketers and founders. We will be buying our kiddo's mattress from you all as well because he keeps saying that we have the best one. Love it, five stars and thumbs up.

My back feels good in the morning, and 5'7" 180 lbs, it doesn't squish too much or feel like sleeping on a rock. Very comfy. Still haven't decided if I will keep it though, since I keep waking up hot and clammy, which never happened on my old bed. (Purple, do not comment back how it's my fault because of a horrid "drum effect" and my bedding is the problem. Jersey knit did not make a difference!)

Initially I loved my purple. It felt great, slept cool, and supported me while I slept. Now, I have had the mattress for less than a year and have severe back pain every morning. I have back problems as it is, and now its even worse. It will sag where you sleep. When I roll from one side to the other of the bed, its like going on a roller coaster. I start out low, go up over a hump, and back down on the other side. I checked my box spring and even put a water cooler jug on it, and it does the same. DO NOT BUY THIS MATTRESS! It wears out very quickly and the initial great feeling that lasts less than a year is not worth the amount of money they are charging for this product. You are better off buying from a competitor. I have been trying to either get a refund or a better quality mattress from Purple all morning and I have not yet been able to even speak with someone from the company.

I'm a HUGE skeptic when it comes to high-claims from expensive stuff online that you can't even try before you buy. i never thought i would ever buy a mattress that i wouldn't sleep on prior, but my fiancee and i were in need for a new bed, and after doing the research, it seemed that Purple was the way to do. we ordered the mattress and within a week, it arrived to our door! the first night was a little weird for us since we had never slept on anything like this before, but by the third night, i was 100% sold! i can't remember the last time i EVER slept so soundly, and i will say right now as a huge skeptic that this IS worth the purchase. if you're not sleeping on this mattress, you're NOT getting the best sleep of your life, period!
