Received our mattress protector shortly after our Purple Mattress came in the mail. Immediately realized it is not quiet AT ALL, very noisy in fact. After a week of sleeping on it my wife and I began to realize we were not sleeping as well as we use to. While it is stretchy, it definitely detracts from the "squishyness" of the purple material on the top of the mattress (review on mattress to come, still in 100 day trial, but so far liking it!). We removed it and immediately noticed a difference in the feel of the mattress. I was very disappointed and felt mislead by the advertising. I love this mattress, it is very comfortable to sleep on. The grid formation of the top layer is a little odd feeling and takes a little while to get used to but is comfortable to lay on. The mattress has lived up to the claim of reducing back pains so far. Glad I finally made the purchase.

I can't review the mattress yet because it hasn't arrived. Purple has sent us 2 mattresses and none have arrived. They are sending us the third mattress and it should be here Friday. The first mattress was sent out fast. We ordered the king size mattress, the base and got a cushion for free. They all left Purple the same day and the mattress was due to arrive for my husbands birthday 3/19. I was watching the tracking so I could get it and try it out. 3/19 came and went, 3/20 out base and cushion arrived but no mattress. I checked the tracking and it said it was pending. I contacted Purple and the Customer Service person, Hannah was excellent and arranged for a replacement to be sent out. Again a tracking number was sent and I watched for the truck. While waiting I set up the base and waited. Around 6 or 7 I checked the tracking and it said it was delivered. I walked all around the house, looking for it, but nothing. Contacted Purple and they are again sending out another one, this one will have a signature required. Strange, I thought a signature would be required, that is why I was waiting. Anyway it should be here Friday and I really hope it is worth the wait. I will update this and change the stars accordingly. Also I see they are doing the pillow now with the bed. I wish they did the pillow when we bought ours. The cushion is nice, but we aren't going to use it as much as I think we would have used a pillow.

After trying the Leesa mattress initially, I decided to give Purple a shot, just to make sure I settled with the best one. I'm so glad I traded out! My initial impression was positive-- it felt ready to sleep on immediately upon opening the packaging and had no chemical smell like I had noticed with Leesa. Lying down on it, it is noticeably more responsive and "springy". The Leesa memory foam was nice, but I sunk in more than I liked, and after laying on it for a while, my body heat seemed to soften it up even more. I like that Purple feels a bit firmer, while also cradling the body's pressure points-- just like the egg test videos! It sleeps cooler, also, and I haven't woken up hot once. I've been telling all my friends and family who have even remotely considered getting a new mattress about the Purple. 10/10 would buy again =).

I purchased the: king sized bed; platform; sheets; and pillow. Shipments arrived staggered, which is not great but not terrible either. The sheets are of excellent quality; the material is heavy in the hands but light to the feel, and cooling to the touch. The pillow is made entirely of the polymer, which means it's quite comfortable but also very heavy, It is not suitable for people who like to move around with their pillow. The pillow comes with an inflatable riser - a nice touch -, but I found no need for it as the pillow is of suitable height for me. The king-sized platform was easy to setup and appears very sturdy. That said I would avoid purchase of the queen-size platform which features a hardware configuration that looks questionable at best. The tools that ship with the platform, and more specifically the hex key, is made of a softer metal than the bolts and will compress under use, causing it to strip. That said it survived long enough to get the job done to a satisfactory degree. Unfortunately, the platform does not feature any mechanism - such as corner guards - to keep the mattress in place, so it's prone to moving along the surface of the platform pretty easily. The bed arrived as rolled, and was easy to remove from its canvas bag using the included letter opener. Unfortunately, the ease of unrolling the mattress ended there. There are multiple layers of plastic over the roll and the bed itself is rolled right side out. This means that on unrolling it you're presented with the bottom of the mattress and must then - essentially - manhandle a 145lb ultra dense, floppy biscuit in an attempt to flip it over. I'm surprised this wasn't something picked up during testing because it turned what was otherwise a breezy setup into a nightmare (especially with a back disability). Outgassing of the mattress presented and odd smell, comparable to plasticized play-dough, but was not unexpected and is not toxic, and was gone within a day. Otherwise, the rolled format of delivery made the mattress easy to maneuver into the house and get into a staging position. The overall setup experience I would rate a 3.5 - I would recommend the team at purple look into rolling the mattress bottom side out, so that when it unrolls it's right side up. Furthermore, the queen sized platform looks to be of questionable build quality judging by the instructions (a single, elongated bolt with butterfly nut holds the two pieces together, as opposed to the reinforced grating and multiple bolts that are used on the king model). Sleep wise, the bed represents a unique and difficult to describe experience. It's soft in the sense that you sink into it a little bit, but it's firm enough that you never feel as though you're not supported. It's easy to feel the polymer material, which presents a unique texture that is oddly pleasant. Quality of sleep is good and the bed, while not totally movement isolated, dampens the movement of others on the bed sufficiently so as not to be a nuisance. Temperature wise, the bed stays pleasantly cool. Overall the experience of the bed I would rate at 4.5 - the quality of the material and the unique properties it presents give it superlative qualities when considering the price.

There was a mix up between what size should be sent. A queen size mattress was in route, but we had ordered a king. Purple was swift at re-routing the queen back to the company and immediately sending out the king which arrived within just a few days. They even threw in a complimentary pillow for our troubles. This has been the most comfortable mattress we've owned. It is soft yet distributes your weight so your back stays aligned. Very very pleased.

I've been searching for mattress love for he better part of 2 years now. I've tried the big name bed in box companies, and the best memory foam the local mattress stores had to offer. Being a side sleeper, I would wake up every morning with sore hips. Bed after bed, my search for love was diminishing. Then I bought a Purple mattress! My hips were finally happy. Happy hips, happy life. Love is out there for everyone! Don't give up, never give up.

I'm disabled and spend much of my time in bed so a comfortable one is vital. I find "purple" to reduce bursa and shoulder pain, I like the ability to change positions electronically (It could improve by having an automatic setting which would slowly rock a person throughout the night, shifting pressure points) I like the soft/firm level ( the area around the center where we sit could give more resistance. I love the vibration....although I've not figured it all out yet. Arm rests on each side would improve the product. Yet, overall, I love it. I kept my old bed in the room just in case I wanted it back and have only gone back to it two or three times for a few minutes. Wish I could have worked on the R&D since I'm so demanding of perfection. This bed comes close and I think with a few small tweaks, it could reach perfection. D. VanderHamm

I researched what mattress would be best for my bad back and neck and after months of debating with myself, I decided to try the Purple. I was intrigued by how this mattress was different from the rest. The first three nights I barely slept. The forth night I slept like a baby and every night since. My wife didn't want a new mattress and loved the divet on her side of the bed. After we set it up and laid on it and all that night before falling asleep, all she could do was criticize it. After the second night of sleeping on it, she fell in love with it and prefers it over the divet she so ardently tried to keep. #PurpleForLife

Purple mattress is great for a firm mattress comfort level sleeper. I need a soft in comfort yet, cold and supportive throughout the night type of mattress. I really appreciated the ordering, delivery and communication process that Purple provided. Waking up and feeling energetic and refreshed was not accomplished, I woke up consistently feeling sharp neck, shoulder and back pain.
