I bought a twin size for the guest bedroom upstairs, with full intention that I desired a good mattress for my aching joints all over. Especially my neck, shoulders and arms. I have periods of aching legs and lower back as well. I believe I bought a firm/ medium. I read the reviews that the firm was too firm. I am glad I did not go all firm. The mattress is excellent on my body and I and I am able to sleep more soundly through most nights. What a difference! I did purchase a hotel quality mattress topper for a bit more softness. I love my purple mattress!!!

I was no longer able to sleep on my 12 year old pillow top mattress. The indentations on each side where my wife and I sleep were permanent and giving us daily debilitating back pain. I did as much research as I could and decided to buy a Purple. Not only did I get the mattress, but the full package of platform base, sheets, mattress protector, and pillow. Our first night was interesting. Between the smell of the mattress and the smell of the pillow we almost couldn't stand it. A change in the mattress was hard for our bodies to adjust to, so we didn't get much sleep the first week but we noticed our backs were not in as much pain. There was also some unexpected stiffness that we hoped would go away. Almost 60 days sleeping on this mattress I would give it 3 stars if my wife didn't like it so much. She sleeps well, doesn't have pain or stiffness, and has no complaints. I however still have daily stiffness which is very uncomfortable, though the actual spinal pain has lessened and is nearly eliminated. The stiffness seems to be muscle related and is probably not just the mattress' fault. For me, this mattress is like medicine. It's not comfortable and I don't look forward to sleeping in it, but I can't deny that it does feel better than an old broken mattress. If only it had a little more top cushioning...and then they released the new spring mattresses with the options for more top cushioning. Unfortunately I don't have the extra cash to afford a deluxe Purple mattress even if I return the one I have. I would send it back if I could find a better mattress that I could afford, but I'm not sure that it exists. A spring pillow top mattress might be more comfortable, but they wear out too fast and are not worth the long term problems. All other mattresses seem to have too many cons, or are basically the same as Purple. So because my wife sleeps well I guess we'll keep it and I'll just hope that I'm just being too picky about a mattress that is probably as comfortable as it gets. I will add it does sleep very cool, but not so cool that my wife ends up freezing (she gets cold easily). I wish this was the mattress of my dreams, and I can't deny it's pretty good, but if only there was a mattress that took all the pain and stiffness away and that I couldn't wait to sleep in each night.

My opinion is: Absolute mistake buying this. We purchased the king purple mattress in July 2017. It is AWFUL. There are indents where each of us sleep. I am 5'5 130 pounds my partner is 5'5 150 pounds. I wrote the company to complain. I was told to do all sorts of things and take pictures. I need to do all of this because I was sold a faulty product? Someone needs to come here and get this awful thing. I can't sleep and wake up in pain.

I was on the hunt for a new mattress since the bed I currently had was HORRIBLE, sagging and had years of wear and tear. My husband and I would wake up constantly with neck and back pain. Not to mention tossing and turning because we couldnt get comfortable. I seen purple mattress advertised on youtube and did reserch on it before purchasing it during cyber week this past Nov. This was the best decision I ever made!!!!! The mattress is AMAZING !!! We no longer wake up in pain and now wake up feeling refreshed, its like being on a cloud. I can feel the difference in the alignment of my spine and my body is better supported when sleeping. Thank God for purple.com

Been trying to adjust but it's not working. My lower back is not having a good time. Purchased this to help but it is not helping. It is worse with this mattress. The grid does help with heat, as I do sleep cooler. Might be for some but not us. Will have to send it back for refund.

The first week was rough getting used to the bed, because before my bed was too soft and this bed is on the firm side. I got this bed just in time, NJ got hit with a heatwave even with AC I would still sleep hot on a foam bed. This bed kept me from sleeping hot or less hot. I didn't wake up sweating. Also my back feel a lot better.

We were in the market for a mattress, so based on the reviews we decided to buy a purple mattress. Worse decision, it is very uncomfortable! We wake up with back pain and toss and turn all night! Additionally, the mattress size was supposed to be a queen size however, it is short and now we have a wedge between the mattress and the headboard. Unfortunately, after we bought it we had a serious of life events that took our minds off counting the number of days to return it or exchange it. My husband complains about the lack of comfort of this mattress everyday. Sadly, purchasing a new mattress just isn't in our budget right now. I wrote this review to make other buyers aware and to stay away from this mattress.

There was no "adjustment" period needed for us. Even though we are seniors with arthritis and aches and pains, this bed has provided comfort and support from day 1. We highly recommend this mattress. The customer support provided is outstanding as well.

I have been very happy with the mattress so far. I do tend to still have some should and hip pain as I am a side sleeper but it is much better than my previous mattress. And I AM NOT HOT ANYMORE!!!!! The only thing that I would suggest is that you sew handles on the sides of the mattress to make for easier moving. Thank you.

When I first got the Purple mattress and slept on it for a couple of nights, I was really trying to enjoy the mattress (Being this is the first time I actually bought a mattress which cost more than the last full size bed I bought with Frame) but it just seemed to sink down too much when I laid on it. It was very hard to turn or even roll over because I was sunk down so much into the mattress. When I went online and looked at reviews it said you can put the mattress on your old box spring and it would be fine, which I did. This was a big NO NO. When I see how the new bed frames are now being manufactured, I notice there is no need for a box spring any more. So I took out my box spring and bought a frame with a thick flat bottom and put the mattress on it. You would not believe the difference in firmness and support of the mattress when laid on a hard flat surface. Made a world of difference, and now I have to say, the purple mattress is a very awesome and comfortable mattress.
