I have had my Purple Twin XL for about eight months. The fulfillment took a month (21 business days). I was 29 and 160 lbs with about thirty being excess fat. I am now 30 and 175 lb with about 45 being excess fat. I am 5'5" and have very broad shoulders and average hips for a woman. I have been a back sleeper for years with almost no movement during the night, but tend to switch to my side when I'm cold, my lower back is tight, or the bed is uncomfortable. I, also, tend to wake up naturally after 6.6-7.5 hours of good sleep. When the bed is too firm, I tend to sleep for a couple hours on my back, then a couple hours on one side, a couple on the other side, etc., rotating as my hip and shoulder pain wakes me up between deep sleeps. When I first got my Purple, it felt great. I had been sleeping on a 4inch memory foam topper with no mattress for three months so the purple was heavenly. It felt like it really contoured the body and I definitely slept better than I had on the foam topper without a mattress. However, it did not take long before I was sleeping fitfully again. I assumed it was because of my stressful job, then the mono I caught over the winter, and the fact that I was getting older. Now I am older and heavier, but I have a wonderful, less stressful job; I'm always exhausted because I wake up to shift positions four to eight times during the night. After nine hours, I don't want to get out of bed because I'm tired, but my hips are so sore from the bed. I spent the night at a friend's house not long ago and slept perfectly on the pillow top mattress and woke up rested after only six and a half hours. I felt like me again. The Purple is just not soft enough for my taste. I see that Purple has put out new versions of the bed with different thicknesses. Maybe the thicker "all positions" mattress would work better for me. I just don't care to test it right now.

Whatever you do do not and I mean do not buy this product. Worst thing I ever purchased and still paying on. Now besides my back hurting me now my hips hurt and I can't even use it anymore I've taken it off my bed and still paying for it plus had to purchase another mattress . So please do not buy this !!!!!!

We've had our purple mattress for three weeks now. We are still in the adjustment phase, I think. The mattress is very comfortable, but the required water-proof mattress cover we purchased was expensive - and crinkly - and has diminished our comfort and satisfaction a bit.

I am a side sleeper. The matteress I have been using was causing me shoulder pain. Both shoulders. During the day I was able to loosen up the shoulders for the pain to go away, only to wake up the next day in pain. Over time the pain never did go away. Then I saw you commercial. I knew I needed a new matteress, the purple looked promising. I bought the queen hoping some of its claims would hold some truth. To say I was skeptical is an understatement. Imagine my surprise when after just 5 hours sleep I woke with little to no shoulder pain. After a few weeks I am waking with no shoulder pain at all.

The purple mattress is the best mattress I ever had in life. After sleeping on my purple matter for 2 mouth i decide to sleep on the best mattress (Tempur-Pedic) in my house before I brought purple. I wake up feeling BAD! My neck, shoulder, and my hip was in pain on my right side. One thing I learn, always have sleep on the best mattress if you want to have the best day. The purple mattress is the best ever!

It's my first mattress perchase since childhood. I'm a Bread Baker and I need a good night's sleep for an early bake. It's a situation where I'm getting aquainted. And I'm falling asleep faster, and moving less during my sleep. A.k.a that's Good. The sheets are so breathable and comfy too. I think purple is here to stay. Eventually consider the adjustable base in the future It's alot to buy for a Single Person

My wife and I are still trying to decide if we like it. It is very unique in the sense that it's wayyyyyyyyyyy better than memory foam! We tried the Puffy first, but we both just sank in it and didn't like it. This bed is firmer, yet contours to your body without you sinking. It is more bouncy. There are still some mornings I wake up with back pain. But I do feel like it does a good job with removing pressure from pressure points. I think we are going to keep it. My only concern is how long the poly urethane purple material will hold up. I wonder if it's going to go flat or weaken at some point is all.

With the Purple mattress I sleep deeper, longer, sounder. I find myself sleeping through the night without waking up, tossing and turning, the mattress simply removes pressure points while providing support. I have less aches and pains in the morning as well. This is my second Purple mattress, the first one was lost in a friendly break-up. I could only take 3 weeks on a foam mattress before breaking down and buying a Purple again lol.

I've had my Purple mattress for about a month now - I haven't slept so comfortably in years!! I was waking up with back and hip pain every morning with my last mattress, the inner spring type. I haven't had hip pain since the very first night with this new mattress, and my back pain disappeared after about a week. I was also worried about sleeping hot with this mattress, and it's actually the opposite - I have an extra blanket because it's so much cooler than I'm used to!! I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

I really love how cool and comfortable this mattress is. I've tried three other traditional coil-spring, pillow-topped and hybrid-memory foam inner-coil spring mattresses for contrast. This is easily the superior mattress. I did remove one star because I feel like it could be better. I would have liked the mattress to be at least a couple inches thicker and the top to allow for more indentation. My lower-back is offset forward from my glutes and upper-back by about two inches [read: I have a bubble butt and a strong upper back], and unfortunately this mattress does not provide me lower-back support when laying on my back.
