We just got our new purple mattress and it is hands down the most comfortable bed in the entire world! It has a completely unique feel of incredible softness and incredible support. The instant you lay on it you feel your back straighten and your aches fade away:)

Did a lot of homework on all of the internet matress companies out there and chose Purple because of the massive amount of great reviews and also the talk of firmness in the reviews. The matress doesn't sink at all. Very firm - but because of the gel on top still has softness, spring and full support. I've been sleeping like a champ ever since getting this thing. It's not hype - this is the best matress I've ever had. Get one!

I called Purple several times to discuss delivery and pick up of the old mattress. Essentially nothing that was promised is what happened. I tried to contact the store and didn't get resolution. I went to the store in Corte Madera and they were closed for a week. The mattress came with a torn outer layer. I would like the layer replaced. It appears you can unzip it and replace it. Can anyone help with this?

We bought our son a purple mattress about a year and a half ago and he loves it! We kept thinking we should get one because we kept getting lumped in the middle of ours. He told us we'd never regret it. We can't believe it took us so long to make the decision! We have slept so well since it arrived. I'm a side sleeper and my husband a back or stomach sleeper, and we both give the same review. The sheets are good, just nothing spectacular. I was wishing there would have been an offer for the warm/cool blanket like I missed at Christmas. I would absolutely recommend this mattress to anyone!

The mattress is comfortable no matter how you sleep. I've been sleeping on an air mattress for months and waking up felt pretty rough. Switching over to Purple alleviated a lot of my aches and pains and cut back on my stretching in the mornings. I run hot so the neutral insulation works nicely for me. My wife runs cold and has to put blankets under her to stay warm in the winter (even with the heat at 70f). The only gripe I have is that the packaging inside of the shipping "container" managed to work its way to the opposite end of the opening and the top of the mattress had some damage when pulled out due to the lack of protection the wrapping would have offered. This is my second Purple mattress and over time they do wear in. Where you sleep gets softer and less firm and your "spot" is slightly sunken in. Rotating the mattress helps regain that support but eventually you can't rotate to get more firmness. When the wearing in happens, rolling across the bed to cuddle leaves you feeling like you're trying to roll up hill, it was also problematic for my wife when she was last pregnant and trying to get out of bed. Purple's still comfortable after it wears in even if you like firmer beds. These are quirks you should be aware of, especially if you're coming from a traditional mattress.

My husband and I are in our early 30's and we both realized one day that our bed sucked. I would wake up with back pain and pain in my hips. Same for my husband. I did a lot of research before we came across the Purple mattress. I must admit that for the first few nights on the Purple mattress I didn't think I was going to like it. There was an adjustment going from a **** mattress to something so wonderfully sturdy and comfy as the Purple! I no longer wake up sore or hurting anywhere and neither does my husband. I sleep solid through the whole night unless my husband snores :) I've been telling all my friends and family about my magic Purple mattress. I have even invited people over to let them try it out. So, I bought the mattress, the softstretch sheets, the bed frame, and the harmony pillow. The mattress is the best mattress I've used. Before buying, I was not sure what to make of it ... the odd purple technology design. But it really just feels like a top-of-the-line normal mattress. It feels a little funky when your purposefully run your skin against it, but not in a bad way. Just a "Oh, yeah, this is made of squares" kind of way. It does sleep cool, though not drastically so. My wife sleeps cold and she's perfectly content with it. The protector seems to be just fine. High quality, don't even notice it's there. I haven't spilled anything on it to test it though. The sheets are super soft and comfy. Not the coolest sheets I've ever had, but still really nice. The bed frame is a bed frame. The pillow is amazing, maybe my favorite part. It is super cool, and pleasantly heavy. It turned out to be just a few inches too thick for my sleeping style and body. So, I look forward to a slightly thinner model. For my legs, however, it was just the best. I have restless leg syndrome, and need something heavy on/between my legs to be able to sleep. This pillow is the best thing for it. The weight, the size, and the coolness are everything I could have wanted.

I did my research, I compared. I was excited about my new mattress. The first few nights were horrible, the mattress retained heat , my heat. I tossed and turn. But I was willing to give the old college try. I can say within the weeks of me having the mattress I may have had 2 nights of great sleep. That sleep you you wake refresh. It says give it 21 days to adjust, I'm not sure if it every will. I have the purple sheets, I bought new pillows, I've change my comforter to a littler one and I still can manage a great night sleep

Unfortunately, the mattress just isn't what we had hoped for. It's well built, ships fast, and is accurately described with one exception, we find it to be much firmer than expected for side sleeping. The nice thing is that Purple gives you plenty of time to decide, you can't ask for more than that. Purple is a great company and worth a shot.

Minus one star because one of the selling points is that it is supposed to keep your body cool while you sleep. My other low grade mattress never made me sweat, but with my Purple I wake up with my back moist seemingly every night. I can say it is me, but I have not had this happen with any other mattresses in the past year (hotels and friends houses). Sorry, Purple. Other then that it IS a great mattress. Very comfortable and relaxing.
