I have to say it's definitely a gamble buying a bed online without seeing it, touching it, or getting to lay on it like at traditional mattress stores. I took the plunge and went for it. Best decision I've made, the gel top layer is cushy, cradles your body and keeps you cool throughout the night. I find myself going to sleep and staying asleep through the night and waking up every morning refreshed and not like hung-over due to a lack of sleep. This bed is a life saver and with the added bonus that i don't disturb my husband when I wake up because the entire bed doesn't move when you get out of it. Which this is helpful since we work different shifts. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a new bed or to just replace your existing bed to get a good night's rest.

We had been sleeping on the "famous brand' memory foam mattress for the last seven years and never really liked the feeling of sinking into the mattress and then trying to get out of a hole. We did out research on the latest online bed in box companies and Purple really stood out for us due to its unique purple layer. Delivery was good and with two people we got the purple egg roll to our bedroom. Unwrapping was a snap and we had a great night sleep the very first night. It is provides support where it is needed and you don't feel trapped in the mattress. The first night I slept right up to my alarm whereas previously I would wake in anticipation of the alarm, so I was very sound asleep. I highly recommend the Purple mattress!

...and my back feels better than it ever has since I've started sleeping on the mattress. That said... the first day with it was hard. Both difficult and stiff. I tend to reposition frequently when I sleep, switching from left side to back to right, then almost on my stomach. Unfortunately, because the purple grid is designed to conform to the body, every time I would move it would push back against me. I was previously sleeping on two mattresses; a futon on top of a pillowtop. I put the futon on top of my Purple the second night and it made a huge difference. The purple still contoured to my body, but instead of me fighting the grid the futon did it for me. If Purple is looking to innovate on their design further, I recommend making the grid a middle layer, with something above it to reduce that 'mattress battle' sensation. All that said, the good far outweighs the bad. If you're considering a Purple, go for it.

The purple bed is the best. It did take about a week to get used to, but now I can sleep in any position and wake up up pain free. I also don't usually sleep on my stomach, but with the Purple mattress, I keep waking up there! My husband and I are very happy with our purchase.

i had a tuft & needle mattress that needed to be replaced and purple came highly recommended by multiple people. i have a purple seat cushion and like the feel of the grid so i went ahead and ordered the mattress based on all the glowing reviews. it's kinda wild how comfortable this mattress is! that first flop onto it after getting it set up had me going "oh wow". i'm a hot sleeper who has back issues and i now wake up feeling cooler and without an aching back. very happy with my purchase!

The first night on purple was heaven. I slept hard and had no back pain the next day. And I mean 0 back pain. Every night since then has not been quite as good but never-the-less much better than before. All I have bought from you is your mattress. What residual issues I'm having may be related to my box spring and pillows. I believe your product is well worth the investment.

My husband didn't think he'd like it but, after the first month and change in pillows, he has finally agreed that it was a great investment in our health. Thank you for making this mattress. Cannot wait to get the new pillow and the bed frame. Might even get the kids their own.

I was worried that the mattress would not live up to its reputation. However I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing the mattress actually is. I have not slept this well in years. Before buying my Purple, I would toss and turn several times a night. It is an amazing product that you just have to try to truly appreciate it.

Best bed. Bought for my mom she has been using a hospital bed and it was hard a rock. I replaced the mattress in her hospital bed and she is super comfy and can be adjusted to get in and out bed to her beside commode and in and out of wheel chair as needed as she is rebuilding strength after congestive heart failure. The only regret I have is I didn't buy it sooner. I got the mattress in 10 days from Georgia to California however, could take longer now due to shipping delays. My sheets were mailed separately and they said delivered but never came. Fastword next my neighbor six doors down called and said she had the package.. So called up customer service and said not to deliver the replacement that I asked for it was a mistake and they said nooo our mistake and you get an extra set of sheets for the mix up!!! I also bought the purple royal cushion first, fits perfect in a wheel chair. You'll only regret it if you never try it. Sincerely, Mom's in home caregiver.

Early on, I didn't think I was going to keep the mattress, but what a difference a couple of weeks made. I'm a big guy and I've had trouble for years getting a good night of sleep with any consistency. After a short adjustment period, I started to wake up with less discomfort everyday. And now (6th week), I am 100% happy with this bed. The kicker, I spent a couple if weeks traveling and staying in a couple if 5 star hotels, and those beds clearly come in 2nd place. I look forward to getting home and sleeping in my own bed again.
