I am really sorry about writing this review but it is true we do not like it. The adds are misleading and the bed feel cheap and is not so comfortable. it takes 10 minutes to get into a position and then its not bad but the minute you move it takes time getting comfortable again.

To say I was skeptical would be an understatement. We have tried two other direct to consumer mattresses in the last 18 months. Both very well regarded, and they were clearly high quality, but neither was comfortable. I had expected both to be fantastic, but in both cases I ended the month long "adjustment period" in tears. In more pain that my 12 year old average mattress was giving me. So I was disappointed and honestly scared to try anything again. Purple claims it is the first real innovation in the industry in 20 years. I considered and thought that just might be true. So after about a month of daily back and forth with myself, I ordered. Finally...finally, my husband and I sleep. I don't feel like I can say all the good things I think and still sound like a grown up. So I'm just going to admit that literally every night when we get into bed, I am downright giddy about it. So yep- I recommend it. A couple more notes because I relied so heavily on reviews myself... zero smell and it's ready to go the moment it unrolls. We ordered two TwinXL mattresses because we have always wanted a king (neither of us should be considered little people), and we wanted to also have adjustable bases. This could be part of my giddiness- it is really just so fun. If you can, either get the adjustable base with Purple, or even somewhere else- it is so incredibly worth it. We got the mattress protector from Purple, but I went with a Beech Jersey sheet- and for me that is so much softer and more decadent than bamboo. And it is crazy stretchy, so don't feel like it will only work with the bamboo sheets. Also, the day after I finally ordered I see an email that they came out with new Purple mattress line. Naturally. But I am so so happy I ordered the original. The price point was just more possible for us, and I honestly don't see any need for an improvement. I rarely submit reviews, but I'm also rarely this over the top happy with something. We love our Purple and we feel lucky to have found them.

I got this bed not to long ago and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! It's so comfortable and the base is awesome as well. It doesn't make any noise at all. The bed is so comfortable its unbelievable. I would like to buy a bed for my kids in the future but you guys don't have a full bed (T_T). Any way the price is also reasonable with all that I purchased and was also able to receive a free cushion. So Thank you for this awesome bed!!

Both my husband and I were having back problems and we knew it was due to our old mattress. Our friends have a purple mattress and recommended it to us. Best decision ever! So comfy and our back pain is no longer. If you're on the fence about this mattress, get off the fence and do it!

We have the Purple mattress, mattress protector, sheets, pillows, power-base and a seat cushion. The mattress is phenomenal and we love the stretchy sheets. In addition to getting the most comfortable sleep we've ever had, Purple was able to help us with several warranty claims and provided equal or better replacements. One of the warrantied items had already been discontinued, so Purple swapped it out for a newer model of the item at no additional cost If there is one negative at all, it's the Purple pillows - they aren't as good as I had hoped they would be. They don't offer the same feel as a cooling memory foam pillow. But, knowing the folks at Purple, I'm sure they'll come up with something better soon! Our overall experience was exceptional! It's rare to find companies that really stand behind their warranties and really go above & beyond to meet a customer's needs/issues. We will certainly be recommending Purple to others even MORE than before. Thanks for such a positive experience Purple!

I want so badly to like this bed, but I'm just not there yet. We've had it for just over 4 weeks and I have yet to have a restful night. My husband doesn't mind it (doesn't love it either), but we both haven't been excited climb into bed since we've been sleeping on this one. Bonus---I don't feel my husband moving in the night! I really want to like this bed, but am already looking around again because I don't think this is going to work out for us.

I bought this mattress after spending 8 months in the sand box on deployment. I can't sleep on super soft mattresses so after trying all purple had to offer I picked the original. Now instead of waking up in the middle of the night I have to fight to get out of bed. I'm very happy with this purchase and would do it again best mattress I've ever had and definitely way better then 3 hots and a cot.

I admit I really thought okay, can a mattress be THAT good? Well yes it is. I slept like a baby after a full bottle of milk. My husband entered the bed and I didn't even wake up! My only complaint is the strong new mattress smell but for the sleep that I got it's worth it.

My husband deals with back pain and from sleeping on the bed for just a week he could feel the relief on his back. For myself, I don't struggle with any sleeping problems but my sleep has definitely improved. The only downside is, it's hard for me to wake/get up!

I am a Purple Boy for life thanks to my new mattress from Purple. They make an excellent product and for me, I've been loving my mattress since the day it arrived. Having tried other brands, the Purple stands head and shoulders above their competitors. The feel, comfort and the quality of sleep I have been getting from my Purple has been absolutely amazing. Between their cushions and mattress my back issues have been reduced considerably and I would highly recommend Purple to anyone suffering from back pain. Are they a bit more than their competition, sure , but the moment you sleep on a Purple you'll know exactly where that little extra went. Nothing feels or sleeps like a Purple and it'll make a believer out of you too.
