Why Can I Taste It?

I can taste it on my dishes even after rinsing it twice in hot water. I used a literal drop to wash my travel cup and my coffee is fresh rain flavored.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent Dawn experience with us. Our products go through lots of testing to ensure top quality and performance, so we wouldn't expect our Dishwashing Soap to impart the product taste into food. However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. It's important to not soak porous items; instead wash them immediately and rinse thoroughly. Dawn Free & Clear have the lightest scents, and may be the best option for you. To remove the taste/smell, soak the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it or run them through the dishwasher (assuming the dishes are dishwasher safe). While we hope these tips are helpful, we'd like to learn more about your experience and do our best to make things right. Please give us a call at (800) 725-3296.

Love this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since having my own household, I have only used Dawn to wash my dishes. I have always loved Dawn products and I can't wait to try the Bounty plus Dawn paper towels!

It does what it

It does what it promises to do. It cuts grease and it is perfect not just for the kitchen but also to clean toilets, shower tubs and ideal to wash your car too.

I’ve tried other dish soap brands and nothing compares to Dawn! It cuts grease in an instant and has a pleasant scent! I’ve found myself using twice the amount in other brands and still not cleaning as effectively as Dawn!

This is the only dishwasher I have ever used so it must be great! It’s a good price and great value...you definitely get your money’s worth. Cleans the dishes so fast and gets nasty things off...I would definitely buy again.

This is my favorite. The only to main one I use to be honest. It makes your dishes feel & look sparkling clean. You don’t need much of it to clean your dishes either. 10/10 recommend.

Best of the best

Tried and true the best soap there is! Works amazing at cleaning dishes, stoves and counter tops. The scent is mild and not overpowering. Packing is good and doesn't over pour the soap. Can be used all over the house to clean

I HATE THE NEW SCENT

I absolutely HATE THE SCENT! Bring back the old scent now! Why did you change it anyway?! It smells like I dumped gain and tide all over my dishes, HORRIBLE!
