Customer reviews for Lifesmart LS350DX 5-Person 28-Jet 110v Plug and Play Spa with Ozonator forAwesome
This hot tub is perfect for our needs. Was a little challenge to get it to the back yard and in place. Temperature does drop slightly but not enough to make a difference. Also I'm relatively short so using the lounge chair is hard. Overall great purchase! Love coming home from a long day and relaxing in it. I would recommend this to friends and family.
Excellent hot tub - hope it comes back in stock
We bought this tub 25 months ago. It has performed well, no problems. Had no issue keeping water at 104 even through polar vortex of Feb 2019 when we had temps under 0 for over a week. Hit -20 and still no problems. Says it can handle 5 but it's really 2 adults comfortably or 4 teens packed in. Since it's 120 it's easy to use, just plug & run it. Note that it takes about 60-90 minutes to heat 1 degree in winter so changing water can mean a warmup of 2-3 days until it reaches 104 again. Only complaint is that a sticker that was placed inside the tub had a very tough glue used on it, after trying to scrub many times and 2+ years of it soaking underater sticker residue is still there.

Let me start by saying I have had a few hot tubs throughout my life. All of them were more expensive than this one, and were all name brand spas. I ordered this one because of the price. Less than $3000 for a hot tub is unheard of. I ordered this in early February and it was delivered on April 20th, so keep that in mind. I was worried about the delivery as it is only delivered to the end on your driveway. My driver was great and got it as close to my setup point as possible but still dropping it off at the driveway. This is not a heavy spa. 2 men and a dolly moved this spa a pretty good distance and got it set up. 3 men with the dolly would have been better though. Setting the spa up was as simple as following the set up instructions in the owners manual. Very simple. Once I filled it with water, it took over 40 hours for this spa to reach its maximum heat. I thought that was very long, but remember this is a 110 plug and play. My other spas were all 220 wired and heated up much quicker. This spa also loses heat fast as the jets are running and the cover is off. I've had better spas, but they were much more expensive. Twice this price. So, for the price, I'm saying this is a 7 out of 10, and not a bad choice for a good, lower level spa.
Everything i wanted at a great price
Very very happy with my purchase! Absolutely love the spa. I knew it will be a basic model but thats what I wanted- the container that heats the water and keeps it hot :-) Easily plugs into a regular outside electric outlet, filled it with water from the garden hose just as recommended and it did take full 24 hours to get to 104F. The instructions were good enough for me to get it going right away. After reading all the reviews I decided to keep in on and running all the time, I hadn't seen the electric bill yet but hope it will be manageable. The spa came with the cover which works very well, the changing LED lights are a great addition, we seem to use the spa in the dark mainly, the small waterfall works but not really doing much for us. It says the spa is for 4 people, I think its more for 3 people, there are 2 sitting spots where jets hit you in the lower back and one laying down spot, where the jets hit you in the lower back, shoulder/neck and calfs. Jets work really well and I like stepping into the hot and "boiling" water when all the jest are on. We didn't get steps yet as they are out of stock still, but its not a big deal to climb in and out of the tub. I like the size of the tub - its not too big not too small, perfect for the back yard, we put it onto the wooden deck. Delivery was good, though it said curb side, the delivery guys backed all the way up my hilly driveway and unloaded it by the fence. We made a deal and they rolled the tub to where it needed to be. I was surprised that it was not as heavy as I thought it would be. The tub was on its side and after we unwrapped it - it was not too heavy to lower it down and move into place for female 42 and her dad who is 65. A couple of strong guys should have no problems with it. Honestly, I was freaking out about the delivery because I was wondering how can I move the tub from the mailbox all the way where it needed to be. The delivery guys used a small wooden dolly with 4 wheels, they put the tub sideways on it and just rolled it. If you are going to move it yourself, thats the cheapest and easiest way to move it.Good luck with your purchase. We enjoy our tub almost daily, I like to be able to get in any time I want to. Best purchase ever and long overdue!
Love the Spa but not the electric bill
I bought this tub in mid-Nov and waited to review to see what our electric bill was. First for the money, this is a good Spa. Nice, deep seating. Just enough jets for my taste. Easy to maintain. Cover is good quality. My only issue is our electric bill went up ~$100. I will say it is installed on an exterior deck and we have had some cold (and warm) weather so far. I'm going to go another month with some additional exterior insulation and turn temp down 2 degrees. If it is still in this range, will probably become a three season use. You may want to consider a 220V Spa if the bills are a concern
Excellent.....so far.
Had been researching spas that were plug and play. Checked out the LifeSmart brand and seemed good but a bit hesitant as I live in a cold climate. So far spa is great! However, we will see how it "winters". Best price was at Sam's. I expected an older model because of great price but after ordering, was contacted by LifeSmart to confirm order and that manufacture was in progress. Shipping by freight was free and they delivered to property line at rear of home. No damages at all and it was packaged and placed on pallet. Very happy with product and east of ordering, delivery and setup. Have owned other spas, but this seems tuffer and definitely easier.
Highly Recommend this Spa!!!
I bought this after reading many reviews but was a little concerned about the friction heating. DON'T BE! I've had it for about a month and it works great! It took about 1 1/2 - 2 days for the water to heat up and it stays at 104*. The only downside is if it is cold & breezy the temp will drop 1-2* in 30-40 min. with all the air jets on, but by then I'm ready to get out anyway. The jets with the air on are fairly powerful and feel oh so good. The maintenance is easy and the spa works great. I estimate my electric bill to run around $1 a day for the spa, well worth it. The plug & play is so easy and works so well I think this a great buy!
Read warranty
I purchased this spa in April 2015, due to the lid being damaged upon delivery I was not able to use until June 2015. II recommend you read all of the warranty and understand that after 90 days you pay for any labor. My spa has developed a leak after only seven (7) months. This is the third spa that I have owned. It is also the only Life Smart I have purchased. I have had spas last for years with no problems, I would not recommend a Life Smart spa for this reason. I would also recommend you purchase a spa from a local dealer.
Excellent value
A hot tub relieves the aches and pains my husband has. We had an Intex inflatable spa that the side blew out on. I had glanced at Sam's website and knew we could get a nice spa around $2500. We decided to go look locally, thinking it would be quicker and maybe easier. Saw many similar to this spa but all over $4500 plus delivery and set-up. Came home, did a little research on this tub and ordered. Actually shipped and arrived about two weeks earlier than expected. Lifesmart tubs are manufactured by Watkins and if you look at their website they are the manufacturers of some well known considerably more expensive spas that are sold locally. If you are considering this spa for indoors, keep in mind it is 34", which is the width of most standard doors. It's a pretty easy thing to do to remove a door and re-install, which is exactly what we planned to do. Everything went perfect, this tub is in place, filled it with water, plugged it in and used it last night. Nice spa, well built and worth the money. I also didn't realize this tub does have the option to hook to 220v, if anyone wants more power from the tub. Honestly though just plugging into 110v had plenty of power.
