Love the ease of using Turbo Tax. The system navigates you through all the questions in regards to potential tax credits; however, if you know that not any tax credits would apply then you can by-pass and just continue to move forward eliminating areas that are not applicable to you....saving time.

Every year I do my tax return with Turbo Tax, periodically I am asked if I want to upgrade while do the return. I say no, but I am always charged a fee. This year I opted to pay the fee with my tax return. I did not realize both the $39 dollar fee plus $40. I thought that it would cost me a $1 more to have my fee deducted from my return. I still don't know how you can advertise free filling when I pay for it every year and request "FREE".

Stop trying to sneak in charging people to receive their own money. Ridiculous. Having to go forward, and then go back, in order to find the FREE direct deposit option is a nasty trick. Put the full total on the receipt, including sales tax. PRIOR to accepting payment! Do not say the "total", take the payment, and then afterwards say "+ sales tax", after the payment is already pulled. Providing a receipt without the true cost violates principles of clear and conspicuous disclosure. FTC is on you for this, no doubt. Consumer Protection Laws? Are we uneducated or just greedy? Overall, do better. People are here to pay taxes and do the right thing, don't treat them like crap for doing so.

Wouldn't let me file electronically initially because I input exactly as presented on the 1099-R, i.e. zero in box 16. Apparently, you have to input the same number in box 16 as in box 1 even though that is not what the 1099-R shows. Was able to e-file after I did this.

Hi, I was searching around to see what options are out there and to find a better deal. I did find another company OLT, their prices are way cheaper. I understand why too, because I do more of the work, which is fine. However, when I was on your site Turbo, the wording is a little misleading. It was my understanding that even though there is a page that asks for my card info, nothing would be charged. To my dismay, I do see a charge posted on my account. Since that has already been taken out and my Federal from this other place due to an IP PIN or something like that got rejected. This time, and since the money is already taken out, I have decided to go thru you guys one last time. I am disappointed that the verbiage on your site does state that you can pick which one you would like to file.

I would prefer after you receive my money and know you are getting paid you give me an option to see my forms/ I have to wait to the very end very end just to see the forms and trust everything is correct. I would like to see them as soon as I pay and then we can continue with the over done let's review everything for the 100th time.. I don't feel secure until I see the forms. Collect your money and then let me see the forms. I had to trust everything was as I thought it would be.It was stressful. Collect your fee then show me the forms!!

TurboTax makes doing taxes way less intimidating than it has any right to be. The step-by-step guidance is super clear, it explains things in plain English, and it catches details I would’ve 100% missed on my own. I really like how it checks for deductions and credits along the way instead of making you guess. The interface is easy to use, even if taxes are not your thing (they are definitely not mine). It saved me time, stress, and probably money. Customer support options were also helpful when I had questions. Overall, TurboTax turns a painful annual chore into something manageable—and that’s saying a lot.

We have used TurboTax for 8 years. We love the ease, guidance and accuracy of the software. It helps answer any questions we have along the way, if we are unsure of something. I would recommend this tax preparation site to anyone who doesn't want to pay all the extra fees of having a person doing them.

I think it is a ripoff actually. Everyone says you can do it for free but YOU CANT. There is no " free" option. You can't move forward until you choose deluxe. You end up paying at least $100 . Total lies. I didn't need help as my information has been same for years. I have NEVER been able to file for free!

I have been using Turbotax for many years, but this is the first year I've filed on line. The online version was even easier than the disk download that I normally use. However, the online version did not recognize the download E-file from the previous year, and I had to get help to complete my E-file. Next year it should be smooth as silk.
