I appreciate that TurboTax recommends my products from the previous year. It guides me to the quickest, easiest way to file my taxes. It also encourages me to come back to TurboTax next year. The only thing that confuses me each year is the contributions to HSA, but I still received my deduction.

The website user interface is very obviously setup to steer the user to purchasing more products from TurboTax Intuit. while I understand this tactic, in certain places, it's downright deliberately confusing. After I finished filing my federal, I wanted to submit my return. However, I landed on the page that offered me two options: I could either "go back" or "continue to state taxes". I wanted to do neither. I had to use chatgpt to find my way out of this strong-arm selling tactic. Leaves a bad impression in my mind about Turbo Tax. Shame. I can't imagine what people who aren't as savvy do here. I'm betting this clever system forces people into spending money they would not have, just to move on and file.

Not happy with turbo tax.. things were confusing..had to keep going back and forth..was under impression that program was free, but ended up,paying $200.00 + to process, then ended up being rejected!!!! We did everything by the book.. please explain why rejected.. we had to pay for process , when we could not afford!!

Pretty straight forward and relatively easy. Did not appreciate the pricing scheme. Went from Free edition to Plus @ $29* that includes* the Audit Defense that the Deluxe @ $79* only covered for an additional fee. Then I eventually was required to upgrade to the Deluxe for the $79 and offered the Audit Defense for another $69 which I ended rejecting because filing the state costs of course another $64. This app is getting less acceptable after 15 years using them.

Overall, it is a good platform with many features and guidance for “free” users. However, the “free” moniker stops there as you are bombarded with unknown and opportunistic fees such as using your federal refund as payment method. You can believe it, yup there’s a fee for that as it is a deluxe member feature. Wow

Not sure how a government funded website that takes a portion of every single persons tax return, mind you we have to use these sites. And still somehow my returns get denied over something so small so easy to fix yourselves but no, too much work? Not enough Ai assets? Whats the excuse here? It’s a common known issue and yet it’s on us after we work all year and still file returns and you take your “fees” which are complete dumb and parhstill it’s on my over simple mistakes. The lack of notice about my returns getting denied is also ridiculous. I know you all will never do any better we only get worse from here so from the bottom of my heart please go wipe tonight with the “fees” from my return

The fact that you have AI-generated review topics tells me all I need to know. Your product has spent more time asking for data it doesn't need access to and my credit card to pay for god know what than it took me to actually type in my tax forms. What has this product turned into? This is bloated nonsense instead of a quick way to file my taxes. I will be using free tax USA in the future. P.S. your bad AI is constantly trying to correct my typing and flashing what topics are used to the point where it's painful to even try to give you feedback.

TurboTax didn’t offer me the free or deluxe versions at the start and made it very difficult to choose the deluxe version after I completed my taxes. Wouldn’t let me use the free version even though my situation was simple. The program ran very slowly. Retrieving my tax forms from Fidelity did not work 1099s, etc. There were hundreds of ads for additional services that I did not want but had to read before moving on. Even entering my direct withdrawal info from my bank took 1 hour and three attempts before it worked. Your program did not work well for filing online from the Bahamas

Paid way more than if I had someone prepare them for me. I could have paid a professional way less and had no stress and I would have not had to stay up half the night. Never using them again. Next year I'll pay $100 for someone else to do it in a fraction of the time.
