Turbotax is a good product but there are two things that I think should be improved. One, if Turbotax insists on advertising the brand as a free service, then when someone starts the application in order to prepare their taxes, the service should be started as as such, (FREE). You can place suggestions for deluxe and such as the process is progressed. Also, a person filing taxes through Turbotax can always acquire copies from the IRS. Copies aren't exclusive just to Turbotax. Second, there are some points within the filing process that seem impossible to return to without putting a massive amount of time into figuring it out. There needs to be a clearly stated active navigation legend to return to every specific point or question.

It also allows you to file electronically and get your refund faster with direct deposit. However, the biggest downside is the cost. Many features require upgrading to a paid version, and the price can add up quickly. Sometimes it advertises “free filing,” but not everyone qualifies, which can be frustrating. Overall, TurboTax is convenient and user-friendly, but it may not be the cheapest option. It’s a good choice if you want an easy and guided experience, but you might want to compare prices with other tax software before deciding.

We have used TurboTax for years. It is always accurate and offers lots of options to make sure all bases are covered. I love that it walks you through the process step by step. It works well with my family needs. I would highly recommend everyone use TurboTax for their yearly tax filings.

It's disgusting that there is such a large fee to transfer the refund to account and/or pay via my own refund. Most transfer fees don't exceed 10 dollars even so $40 is crazy. I'll be manually filing my taxes moving forward and encouraging others to do the same.

It may only take 45 minutes to complete the tax section but ALL the extraneous questions after, yet before filing, are ridiculous. Having to read every statement carefully to make sure I'm not giving you permission to use my information or sell it to third parties - I have used Turbox Tax for MANY years, but may not next year due to everything UNRELATED to my taxes. Even deposit information questions - come on..

Turbo Tax used to be a product I referrred to everyone. Now, they nickel and dime you charging too much. for. the services. I have used it for years and I think this year is my last. Horrible to charge a transfer fee and direct deposit fee on top of the fee for using the service to begin with. Never again! Turbo Tax lost a loyal customer.

I like to use Turbo Tax because the system walks me right through the process so easily. I feel comfortable with it, and I use it every year. The continuous improvements feel seamless and transition smoothly, so any changes don't feel so noticeable (or painful.) I like the encouragement provided along the way, the offers of support, the fact that I have options for help if I need it. I feel safe using the product on my laptop and my phone. I find that my tax forms are accurate and I complete everything very quickly! Thanks for the opportunity to share!

I communicated with an Agent due to confusing instructions and guidance in the Income section relating to my Federal Pension and the rolling over of it and IRA's. The Agent was exceptional in his assistance and was pleasant to work with. However, there was another issue I came upon was that the non-cash charitable contributions form was not updated or ready to use to file my return. So the filing of my return was put on hold and said the form update would be ready by 1/28/2026 but it was still not available on this date. So I removed most of my donations in order to get my return filed. This caused me to lose $274 of my refund. Not having the software up and ready to use when the IRS started accepting returns did not make me happy since it cost me $92 to use the Turbo Tax program and it wasn't even ready to use on time. As a result I may not use this program next year. I'm very disappointed in it.

Very disappointed with this year's update to the product. I felt like there were at least 4 gimmick pages that made it seem like I had no choice but to pay extra for something when in reality I didn't have to. For example I could get my return fast for $35 or use Credit Karma for $0...I wanted neither option and it was tricky to get to that. Also, the 1099-INT kept asking me for a state and it literally said leave blank if no state is on my form but yet still it kept giving me an error. The AI assist was little help...I live in the free State of Florida I don't pay state income taxes. And now this AI is reordering my words around as I type...ridiculous I'm over this

TurboTax is reliable for its clear, step by step guidance that makes filing less stressful. it asks the simple important questions, explains deductions in plain language and checks for errors before you submit. its a great option if you want hands-on guidance and easy to use experience.
