I suggest rewording the question about dates of living in another state so it clearly asked for the info it wants!! When first filling out the questions, the wording of the question regarding the time I lived in Maryland, it asked for the beginning of the time I established residency, which was 3 years ago. Then it asked for when I left Maryland which was June 2025. Then I received a reply that the year for when I began living in Maryland must be within the current tax year!! So I changed the answer Jan 01 2025. Also, I was surprised at the processing fee due to have two different state returns, when I only lived for 6 months in each state.

TurboTax stated several times before I started that the cost would be $0.00 for filing both federal and state. However, their bait and switch at the end proved this was an absolute LIE! Instead, I was presented a bill to file both for $128.00 before states taxes. I will no longer trust Intuit products and it is very likely I will be using a different company next year.

This product is fine. My objection is to the CONSTANT money-grabbing. For many people, it's simply not that complicated to click through the basic process. There is no need to push for upgrades every fifth screen. It is also ridiculous that, after paying a premium for the "deluxe" DIY experience to submit my federal and state returns, that I would have to pay a $35 fee for the privilege of not subscribing to another Intuit service in order to receive my refund. But what else am I going to do? I'm a hostage. Grow a soul, Intuit.

I have a lot of tax experience, and I wanted to be able to directly review the forms as I was providing information to the system. I could not find any way to make this happen. My taxes were calculated using the Tax Smart sheet and I have yet to find where that is included in the return.

Product worked great, but I thought it was free and I got charged $143 plus tax. I didn't know it was going to charge me. I thought I had declined all the options. It took me by surprise but it was too late. I needed to file my taxes, very disappointed.

No explanation on state income tax and why it was so high. Also description of certain items, like Section C was incredibly vauge and was not explained at all. Also, reviewing the same things over, and over and over and over again, its no wonder the hole experience took about 3 hours....

Entering charitable donations was very tedious and difficult this year, why the change? My W-2 info did not transfer over, had to manually enter. Noted I did NOT want to go through uncommon deductions but it took me through each and every one anyway. Repeatedly asked me the same questions over and over even after having answered them. Seriously considering not using Turbo Tax again. Also, signed up for a discount code which was not factored in at the end.

We are seniors. To have charged us $69 because you had to generate a Schedule A is absolute greed. I could see a charge of $10. that would have been acceptable but not a charge of $69. I will not recommend your service to my senior friends. Most of us are paying extraordinary high real estate taxes, high homeowners/auto insurance and high medical costs. It's why we try to file without charge. One extra piece of paper-$69. How do you people sleep at night?
