I’ve used TurboTax for years, but the pricing remains misleading. What appears to be one price ends up being much higher once you’re deep into filing. It feels intentionally unclear, and that’s disappointing for a product people rely on for accuracy and trust.

Turbo tax has been my go to for the past 15 years now. I never have any troubles as it is very user friendly and simple to navigate and go through. I always choose Deluxe to make sure I'm covered for anything needed! I highly suggest them and I always get the max return with them!

cant get past paying almost 200 even though i chose dont add max all the way nthrough the paperwork at the end it auto sets up 70 then 48 then 35 have to select pay just to finish.i didnt select the 79 dollar but it added.had to agree to pay to move on

Over $120 just to file my incredibly basic taxes and get my money directly deposited into my account is egregious and embarrassing. Whod've thunk that a company that has been "helping" people file their taxes for generations would choose to squeeze any penny they can. How are you gonna charge me for wanting direct deposit and then charge me again for actually using the direct deposit. $35 just to autofill info you've had for years. What a joke.

State Specifics: It correctly applied the Mississippi STRONG Act exclusion, making my Guard pay 100% tax-free at the state level. The Cons: The "Upsell" Gauntlet: It tries to make you pay for "Expert Help" and "Max Protection" every three clicks. You have to stay focused to avoid the extra fees. Confusing Terminology: Some screens, like "Vehicle Basis" and "AMT Depreciation," are worded in total legalese. I had to do my own math to realize entering "0" was the right move. Price: It’s definitely the priciest option. You're paying for the "interview" style that does the thinking for you.

Lets be real....TurboTax and Intuit is a SCAM! They are consistently advertising "free filing" then charging HUNDREDS of dollars afterwards, even if you are low income. Doesn't matter that there was a lawsuit in 2022, they SETTLED in 2023, and have had numerous investigations. This business is just unethical, and I will continue to call them out for their hidden fees and immoral practices!

I have used Turbo Tax for many years, I felt very comfortable having a disc or a registration number to reassure me that the information I was giving out was being held in a strict and confidential nature. This year's online service has been a leap of faith for me.

TurboTax is very user-friendly, in my opinion. The program really does guide you through the process of completing and filing tax returns, asking simple, guiding questions to steer the preparer through this process in the easiest and most efficient way possible.

They charge you unnecessary fees even when you don't select Max or choose to file by yourself. Its ridiculous. And the additional $40 to deposit in your bank. Just too expensive to be charged $128 + $40 for filing. How much is the refunds to be charging $128 for "free" filing +$40 bank deposit?
