The process is simple, I don't agree with having to pay $149 when I input the information and the system pulls the W-2. I understand your company is in it for the money, but $35 to put it in an account and $40 for something else etc. But I guess I don't have too many choices.

Charging for filing taxes is shady practice. Especially when the user enters in their own information. Hidden fees added for paying for the services with your tax return. Shady all around. Will not be returning next year. Should have known when there were multiple lawsuits and data leaks.

We've used Turbo Tax for years and it has always done a great job. This year's software has had major changes and some of it is not as clear as in past years. Also in scanning in tax documents it entered information into the wrong place. I had to go back through to find the error I knew existed after seeing refund/tax due information. Be very careful reviewing your return. We've never had this occur before. Still recommend Turbo Tax.

Only reputable I have to the process of filling with TurboTax are the three added fees applied at the end for filling unemployment, getting the refund sent to my personal banking intuition via direct deposit, and the fee to have TurboTax fees taking out of the refund.

What an ordeal....first here with TurboTax with setting up my account again...using my laptop AND cell!!! Just a pain THEN it had me go to the IRS website to get last years AGI!!! That was worse!!!! this years taxes took me over TWO HOURS, mostly just to identify myself!!!!

They make it seem as if you need to pay for this service. I only needed to file a simple tax return and found out later that I could have filed my taxes for free. They seem to catch everything else but they did not inform me that since I did a simple return, it could have been free.

The state specific quirks made filing more complicated than expected. TurboTax expects the state entered in Box 15 to match the employer zip code and TurboTax flagged a ZIP/state mismatch since my employer is in NJ and I am in PA, preventing me from filing with ease. This is a known PA-specific validation issue with TurboTax. Because it is a "known" quirk, this should have been corrected.

I had a lot of trouble this year with the site. I started trying to use the app and it glitched and put me in a loop I couldn't get past and when I used the online version it imported all the information wrong and even though I fixed it, it kept reverting back to the wrong info. It was incredibly frustrating!

The fact that becoming unemployed and needing to enter a 1099-G prevents you from using the free service, literally preying on those struggling that need their own money returned to them the most, makes this the last year I'll ever use your product. Ridiculous.
