This was a very frustrating experience, I was forced to upgrade which I did not want to do and of course after I upgraded I was charged additional fees and now the after the fees, the original refund I would've received is less than the amount. I did not want to upgrade therefore that should have been an option, I will not be using Turbo Tax in the future and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Turbo Tax never gave me any early indication that I need to pay $143 for Turbo Tax software. My Tax filing was a simple one, and at the very end Turbo Tax mentioned that I cannot file without paying $143. If I would have known this in the very beginning, I would have not used Turbo Tax.

We have used Turbo Tax for 20+ years. This year your application was at times confusing. In fact we had to go back and check to find out we had not filed. And had to verify ourselves via Driver's License and ID.me. We filed according to your screen. But when we tried to save the return for ourselves we couldn't.

I want to know why I pay $69 for the ability to put together all of my information, then have to pay another $40 to (according to the end of the process) pay for TurboTax. Isn't that what the $69 is for? I know it says at the total it's for some kind of banking fee. but that's not what it says, 1.) it says the $40 is for paying for the TurboTax and 2. I would be interested to know why it costs $40 for direct deposit services. It costs less than a digital workload than an actual PAPER check being written. So why is it more in this case?

This years use of Turbo Tax has been the most difficult I have ever had. First, it kept telling me I needed to enter my address unit# even though I live in a house. It wouldn't give me the option to change the dwelling type at all & forced me to go round in circles trying to get it fixed. Had to just put a space to be able to continue filing - very frustrating. Second, I had to constantly fix inaccurate info the software kept entering, causing it to take longer than it should have. Third, it told me it was $79 to file, but once I looked at the receipt, it showed a charge of $134. Very misleading to only show the federal amount & not the state as well nor indicate that the $79 didn't include state. Don't think I will be using this product anymore.

Absolutely a disgrace that you make students upgrade to the Deluxe version just to enter a 1098-Q. Not only that, you make them enter it manually. It is absolute garbage. You are crooks stealing from students. You lost a customer, and a family of customers (4 kids). Dumb move. Goodbye.

Please stop trying to sale me more products. Stay in lane and get me the best tax deductions without your products coming up every time you turn around. Stop misleading routes. Make it easy to identify what you want to do. I was trying to print my form and I was on the "E-Filing" road. Had to back track on this and on some other issues.

Horrible experience throughout. Tax paying is already a nightmare and this was supposed to make it easier, but if you make one mistake you basically have to start everything over. There is no real person or "tax expert" to help like they lied about in their advertising. Then they charged me twice as much as what was told to me at first, then added fees on top of it. I will never use Intuit again and will make it a point to only use their competitors going forward

TurboTax appeared to do things and look for deductions, but it’s not entirely clear what it is doing- perhaps just screen animations to impress you. I was upcharged over basic return because of a form that it claimed I needed, but there was no way to review the form before product selection. Filing should be free and be provided by the treasury service. This seems like rent-seeking.

Every year it gets tougher and tougher to find and start out with the do-it-yourself free version and upgrade only when necessary from there. Unless someone was tech savvy, it would be tough to not spend a lot of extra money on unnecessary services that don't benefit most people. TurboTax defaults you into these superfluous product tiers, and then you have to make serious effort to downgrade to products that are sufficient for your tax situation. This is very dark and predatory design that Intuit should be ashamed of. The basic product does everything that most people need, in an accurate expeditious manner.
