You did not send us notices that our returns were rejected. As a result we now missed the 4/15 deadline. The amount we have to pay for federal taxes went up over $400 and we now had to pay you $150 for using your "free" service...I am very confused by all of this and will probably not be able to use Turbo tax anymore

Turbo Tax was my go to for many years, however, for the last several years I had let my husband to continuing the tax account he has used for years. This year, we decided for ease and use and cost effectiveness to do them ourselves using Turbo Tax. The product is exceptionally compatible with my computer and the features guide you through all possible scenarios. I would and have recommended it to people I know.

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 25 years and this is the first time I had an issue requiring me to mail in my state return. My 1099-R was for a Roth IRA distribution and there was a glitch that was treating my distribution as a traditional IRA. The form for Pensions, Annuity and IRA withdrawals had both boxes checked stating it was a traditional and Roth IRA. I was stuck and could not get past the “Total IRA contributions previously taxed” question on the form. Assistance stated that TurboTax thought I had a Traditional IRA Distribution, but I did not. This was very frustrating and I spent many hours trying to recover from this and researching it. Finally I gave up and decided to mail in my state return. Also the cost of using Turbo Tax is getting ridiculous. I might consider you another tax return software package next year. Turbo Tax's rating are only 1.5 stars. That's crazy.

Turbo Tax said I did not have to pay, that this is a free filing service. If you want to pay for an adjustment that offers more, you may. But Nooooo I had a simple w- 2 and a 1099 and your website labeled it as complicated and charged me $143 to receive money that is already mine through hard work. I do not get paid enough to play this capitalism game. Do as promised.

I have used Turbo Tax for about 25 years, and have always loved it. Never had a problem until last year. Apparently TT didn't properly handle 529 to Roth IRA conversions. That took two telephone calls and about 2 hours to fix, but at least we finally got it. I had assumed that they would have fixed that by this year, but no -- still didn't work right. That took 1 phone call that lasted for 3 hours and 39 minutes to get it working. That shouldn't be the case. But at least we did finally get the taxes filed. The guy on the phone was great. I also had to switch from desktop to online this year, because desktop won't work on Windows 10. That is unfortunate. Online is also much more expensive than Desktop.

I planned on doing the tax filing for free as you advertised but then at the end, I was misled into purchasing a different plan. This was my first time filing taxes on turbo tax independently and I feel like you made it too easy to be duped into purchasing a product I did not need.

I had decided not to file with TurboTax and had not yet sent in the forms via e-file, but TurboTax would not let me cancel my payment so I could not use the software. The set-up is misleading -- there should be a clear way to cancel my transaction before filing, or clearer information that the transaction will not be voidable after a certain point. This will be my last year using this software.

I've always used turbo tax and I like it but it needs some improvement in the area of dependents and how to remove one. I had to use assistance. Also it's tricky at the end when you have your order price, I needed assistance on how to downgrade, why does it suggest the most expensive when you are ready to pay? The chat assistance is great though!

I had to call about 10 times, mostly about bugs in the software. TurboTax will ask, and it's tough to figure out what it's asking. Other times, I tried to put in two quarters of my quartlies and the software would not take it. Then all of a sudden it accepted my quartlies. Other times it would hang. All of the expert people were good.

Took forever to get almost half my refund back, over half went to your frees on a supposedly "free" product. And you slipped in another $44 for some premium service. I will NOT use your services in the future! I did most of the work, declined every upsell... I am advising my friends not to use this scam. If you advertise its free, it NEEDS to be free.
