I don't like the new online version. I cannot do more than one return which I have been doing for my grandchildren for the past several years. if I pay this much for turbo tax I don't think that doing my grandchildren's returns should be restricted. I also found this version to be harder to check than the previous version for 2023. I also used the 2023 version to create some examples of other tax situations like whether to take capital gains this year or wait until next year. I can't do any of these planning estimates with the online version. I will de looking at other options for Tax software next year. I have used turbo tax for at least 10+ years but I don't like limited use of the new online only version for 2024.

Got stuck and thanks to Bruce in Jacksonville, FL, I was able to make changes and then it all went smoothly. Bruce is a gem. However, price is way too high for 2 over 70 people who make so little money and get 0 back. Just because we have a few investments we have to get the expensive program. Shame.

I used TurboTax Premium, and I enjoyed how quick and easy the process was! I also like that my previous year's information was saved, so that I only had to confirm or update the details. I understand there are other tax prep companies and software out there, but I personally think TurboTax is great for me! The only thing I don't like about TurboTax is the constant pay-walling. I look up the product comparisons before I start my return, so please stop bombarding me with upselling tactics. Just let me finish my return!

The hardest parts of filing taxes are supposed to be automated, but this lobbying piece of crap company can't be bothered to actually properly integrate with the institutions that have my forms. I had to fill out like 60 rows of itemized nonsense by hand in one of the worst user interfaces I have ever seen and it all could have been avoided if they just let me actually log into my account.

The product is good, but becoming cumbersome to use as it doesn't let me go back to the very section I left without restarting the whole section. Also, the excessive advertisement of upgrading is beyond ridiculous. Once in the beginning when selecting your version and once at the end to check to be sure is more than enough. When I decline to upgrade I also have to click through banners to double ensure I decline. It is ridiculous.

Filed my return without a tax expert as my situation did not require additional explanation. The step by step guidance was all that was required to get through this annual chore. Turbo Tax simplifies the entry of income and tax credit information and provides additional information if needed.

I've been using turbo tax for 20 years and find it pretty easy to navigate and file. There is an update Turbo Tax needs to make, however. Public Safety Officers are exempt from the early withdrawal penalty on their retirement funds. Turbo Tax recognizes this but assumes that you have to be over age 50 in order to use this exemption, and you do not. As a result, the proper field to check for the exemption is only visible when the filer's age is 50+. Turbo Tax needs to fix this. There's a way to game the software to get the option, but it's not widely known and a real hassle.

Overpriced, and the same issue still occurs with form E line 19 year after YEAR all due to a poor programming practice. If I enter 0.00 the application throws useless errors that don't actually identify the issue in the field. If I enter 0 as a whole number though, all is well. WHY CAN'T YOU FIX THIS WHEN I PAY YOU 220.00 EVERY YEAR? the software update would take seconds, not hours of development. COME ON

I have used TurboTax Premium for many years, and completely trust that what I am submitting to the IRS and State are absolutely correct and accurate. I like doing my own taxes, because I keep records and receipts throughout the year, and TurboTax makes it so easy just to enter all the information I have collected, and it figures my taxes for me. There is nothing more simple or trusted than TurboTax.

Well, it's typical Turbo Tax. It's pretty easy to use and makes sure you have all your bases covered for all situations, and the more complicated your situation is the more you'll pay. However, this year, the amount of dark patterns throughout the app with regard to data permissions was truly mind blowing. The final section where it looks like you have to agree to share data to file, yet you do not, and there is no clear way to go to the file step, is truly disgusting and atrocious. Anyway, I hope we can regulate these types of companies out of existence someday. Maybe we can get DOGE on it.
