It took longer than expected! However, almost all questions could be answered using help tab or chat. However, I do believe fees are a bit pricey especially when not having to use Turbo Tax Max, or any live assistant. You're basically doing all the work & simply using Turbo Tax paper. However, getting questions answered & being able to click & have the meaning of what's being asked from you explained is a bonus. However, a few things are not explained too well. But overall, great meanings & explanations of what something means & where to find rhe info requested is awesome. However, I would love for more understanding to some of the explanations & questions.

Turbo Tax is easy to use and guides you through step by step. My only complaint is that when you choose to pay their fee with your refund, they suddenly add an additional $40 fee. I don't know if you'd have the same fee if you chose to pay the fees with a card.

Very greedy. I would give zero stars if it let me. Hidden $40 processing fee and forced me to get MAX because I had common investment accounts. I give it a few more years and this company will start losing enough money to have to reassess or fold. This business model that deceives taxpayers is likely compounded by the salaries of its worthless executives that make these decisions. I remember when it was free to file. Will definitely be filing elsewhere next year and encouraging everyone I know to do the same.

My Experience was great, mostly. I don't like that the Live version is the first thing that pops up and then in little type it says see other options. It used to bring up all options. The other issue I have is that the total stated was, $188 to file with you. Then my bank is showing a charge for $206. Next time add in the tax at the end. It is frustrating to think that $188 is the total but it isn't. Of course there is, in small, faded color text, right under the total that says: plus applicable sales tax. That's crap. You should be able to add in the tax and give the real total that a person will be charged.

I like turbo tax in general, but still have issues with the document (eg 1099) uploading . The system is very rigid and error correction is not intuitive making it very difficult. The call-in support is great although getting past the automated help is difficult.

Terrible. Tax returns REQUIRE an IP PIN. There is no error message on Turbo Tax that this is missing. It kept checking our returns claiming that all "looks good". But we filed and the returns were rejected for missing IP PIN. I went back to fix the error and Turbo Tax kept claiming, "looks good" and wanting to refile. Getting the IP PIN from IRS was another series of hoops that took over 5 days to get. Then I went to plug it back into the returns, the "Help" in the right margin was not directing me to the right place to plug in the IP PIN. Nowhere under personal information did it call for this PIN number or I would have requested mine weeks ago when we started our returns. Upon getting a rejected return I scoured the forms back and forth for a day, and Turbo tax kept showing "looks good". Miraculously and obscurely I found somewhere that said this was under "other tax circumstances" tab and is not one of the fields that turbo tax checks for compliance with your return. How is this an OTHER??? This is a REQUIRED field and should be at the beginning of the return as part of biographical information. It's not an other situation. Very frustrating and ridiculous that it took so many days to figure out. This makes doing your own taxes a huge headache and I AM TECH savy, imagine someone who can't navigate forms easily. Completely ridiculous. Good thing they aren't charging us a tax penalty because there's a 5 day window to fix the returns once transmitted.

INCREDIBLE WASTE OF MONEY. THE 1099 FORM IMPORT SOFTWARE PRODUCES ERRORS THAT CAN'T BE CORRECTED WITHOUT MANUALLY RE-ENTERING THE ENTIRE FORM. THE WHOLE RETURN WAS REJECTED FOR 3-FILING DUE TO AN IMPORT ERROR IN A ZIP CODE OF ALL THINGS, WHICH COULD NOT BE MANUALLY CORRECTED. $200 IS AN OUTRAGEOUS PRICE FOR SUCH A KLUDGY PRODUCT. AS SOON AS THE IRS RELEASES AN ONLINE FILING SYSTEM, I'M DONE WITH TURBO TAX.

TurboTax takes away the stress of doing your own taxes and helps the average Joe become a tax expert. Getting the Max benefits is always a great option because having that identity theft protection along with the help of an advisor given that you are audited will help exponentially.

I love how Turbo Tax knew to ask for my tax security pin and the security question. It flows much easier than other tax software I have used. I did not mind paying for having it done through Turbo because of the easiness of getting through them in a timely manner and correctly!

I've used Turbo Tax for many years but this is the first time online through Intuit account. It didn't have my historical information, so I uploaded last year's return. Didn't seem to populate information from it. I attached documents and it didn't even use them as I filled out the return. I uploaded pdf. docs and connected.to my financial institutions for 1099 forms. They didn't get included return until I went back and re-added information. In the past, Turbo Tax would walk me through all of the items. This time, I needed to double check everything and go backward to add items. I have low confidence that it will be accurate. I only got the higher priced support package because I don't trust that Turbo Tax has me covered this year. My return wasn't accepted because I typed my wife's birth year wrong. I already input it through the process of filling out my tax information. Couldn't Turbo Tax have flagged the possible error instead of letting it get rejected?
