I have used Turbotax for many years (probably > 12) and find it fairly easy to use and the ability to transfer the previous year info to current year is nice especially if things don't change much year to year. My only complaints I had while using TT for my 2024 Fed return (did not need state) were two things: (1) The numerous attempts to upsell were somewhat irritating, at least for my situation and (2), it would be nice to be able to edit the name of the companies which 1099-DIV/INT/MISC/B forms etc. were imported as the official name of some of these companies is not one I would normally associate with my investments. Along with the adding of income entities, as I imported some info and not others (I find it easier in some cases to just to enter in a couple of numbers that go thru the process of logging into a site to export), I found that TT thought I had missed some entities because the names were slightly different and prompted me to entered some info twice (duplication). Thankfully, I caught the duplication and made the correction. I just may manually enter all info next time. Besides that, the step by step process made everything pretty easy. I will be using the product again next year.

Technology is great, the interface is smooth and easy to understand. But, wow, are you nickel and dimed on this platform. An absurd $40 fee to pay for my returns from my Federal Return? This is outrageous. I understand this is Intuit's bread and butter time of year, but the fees continue to roll in here and it's honestly disgusting. Isn't Intuit making money from its other holding companies to defray the costs of this product to consumers? Really feels like a disingenuous rip off.

Generally, a good experience. But i made a couple of typo's that greatly affected my return and i feel like TTax should have flagged those as potential errors. One example was that i was showing over $400k of capital gains, which should have been a red flag, given my overall financial situation. Another problem was that deleted my info and started over, somehow doubling 3 of my DIV forms. Turbo Tax did not alert me to that until a did a recheck at the end.

Many of the supplemental questions are not clearly stated especially for the Dividend and 1099-B forms. Turbotax frequently asked a question requiring additional information or to read additional information during which time the program closed. additional time is needed to complete tasks.

Not real happy with my experience this time with turbo tax. I have always used turbo tax and this year they word everything I a way that gets you to keep upgrading your package and at the end of it all you can't change anything and you are stuck with a bigger bill than if you would have just taken it to a CPA. But to think it couldn't get any worse when it's all said and done you click the pay my 200 dollars in fees out of return and it takes you to a page that states there is now a 40 dollar fee added to that for "prossesing". After 15 years of using turbo tax and always recommending turbo tax to all of my friends and family, I think this will be my last year. It's no longer worth it.

Too bad that doing taxes is egregiously complicated. TurboTax was its usual self, but there seemed to be a lot of minor interface issues with the online service this year. This is only the second time I’ve used the online version, and not the computer version. I had several times that the back button failed to function, or sent me back to the beginning of the section, instead of one page back.

Not a bad app but a bit pricey. The best part is that if you’ve used it before, your information is stored and comes up automatically. I also like that you can upload your documents by taking a picture of them. That is very convenient. If the IRS’s free tax filing hadn’t been removed by Musk, I would have used that. There were. Couple of problems, though. The first thing I noticed was that when I entered my W2 by taking a photo of it, the amount in box 4, social security tax that I paid, it also showed up in box 4, social security tips. It’s a good thing I paid attention to each box. The second issue was how many times forms were listed more than once, causing me to have to constantly delete the duplicates.

Ease of use and rolling over data from previous years is a 5 out of 5 stars. But elevating our 'plan' to a premium plan for a simple HSA deduction that a lot of people have is robbery. The price increase 2 weeks before the due date is ROBBERY. It's corporate money grabbing at its finest and so very ugly.

You refused to allow me to file the simple free return I always have. You lied & said I could submit mileage expenses elsewhere but elsewhere never appeared. Your site timed out 4 times before I was finally able to submit my retrun.I will NEVER EVER use turbo tax again! You COST me $$$!
