The upselling is intrusive and annoying. This year I seriously contemplated not bothering with Turbotax. They make it very difficult and obscure to decline premium add-ons. It is also difficult to find features that are not completed during the dialog. I had a hard time entering estimated tax paid.

I tried filing electronically and had to request a support agent twice because it was rejected. 2nd agent explained it's a software issue related to my 1098 form for my home's mortgage interest. I know have to print 44 pages and file by mail. Very disappointed in the product experience this year.

Using TurboTax felt like being trapped in a tax-themed sales funnel. I declined upsells repeatedly, yet the software kept pushing them over and over. Pay from your refund? Extra fee. Branded financial product? Front and center. Plain direct deposit? Buried under a pile of Intuit-branded garbage. Then there was the email consent screen, which seemed designed to make marketing opt-ins look like routine tax communication. Despicable. Then there’s the opaque pricing: $139 for a fairly simple business return, plus $69 for a basic state filing. But you won’t find those numbers clearly laid out on Intuit’s website. Instead, the real cost only becomes clear once you’re already deep into the process. That kind of aggressive monetization is something I’d expect from a liquor store that cashes checks, not a regulated financial services company. What really stands out is that this fits a pattern. Intuit has already paid $141 million in a multistate settlement over misleading “free” filing claims, and the FTC has taken action over deceptive advertising. So if the experience feels manipulative, it’s probably because Intuit has spent years earning that reputation. TurboTax no longer feels like tax software. It feels like a monetization engine wearing tax software as a costume. I won’t be surprised if, a few years from now, I get an email from some law firm offering me a class action settlement. I doubt the token payout will do much to wash away the sour taste this experience left behind.

Believe there is a bug which caused the withheld social security payment to be seen as an estimated tax payment and a revised/corrected form 2210 was needed to electronically file. Deborah resolved the issue by having me delete the form 2210. Created a major waste of time for me, but Deborah was great.

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years, and for the past few years I keep asking myself WHY? It is difficult to find information, increasingly difficult to conduct tasks that are not super-simple, and I am SICK of the constant requests to purchase more products and/or provide additional personal information to Intuit that is unrelated to my tax filing. I had to call Intuit/Turbo Tax twice for assistance entering data, and the second time event the support person (who was very nice) was having difficulty locating where to enter the information. NEVER AGAIN.

It was a nice experience using TurboTax this year! With some support from Claude AI to clarify questions along the way, the process was very smooth. A suggestion: Consider integrating an AI assistant (like Claude) directly into TurboTax to help users understand complex questions in real-time. Many of the prompts are confusing for first-time filers or those with unique situations (RSUs, IRA conversions, AMT, etc.), and having an AI explain what each question means would make the experience even better. Thanks for a solid product!

I've used Turbo Tax for many years. The new online is very confusing and hard to use. Can't easily go back and review your entries for errors etc. Made me miss a couple of entries and I had to amend return. Maybe better next year. I've been using Turbo Tax from the Intuit days and this was harder than the old way. Also should not be a tool for trying to sell you added services.

Logging on was very, very, veru difficult initially. Could not transfer my 2024 data for some reason. Forms changed and very difficult to find estimated taxes paid and QCD to gross income. Again very hard to log on once current product downloaded. Very time consuming. So different than all previous years. 3 hours added to complete.

After using Turbo Tax desktop for 20 years I was forced to use online because Desktop only works on Windows 11 which I don't have and I am not going to install (due to its privacy intrusiveness). It is awful for Turbo Tax to marry Windows 11. Your online help screens are mediocre. Navigation is awful. I had to use external AI to find help and locate some features. Also, I don't want identity protection packaged together with Audit Protection. Since Desktop is no longer an alternative I may be hiring a CPA next year. Goodbye.

Most of it was simple to understand and quick to respond to my issues. My taxes are very basic, with very little details. However, they missed one item, for some reason at the end it was not able to confirm they did submit my taxes last year even though they used last year's tax report to fill in 2025 report.
