Sadly disappointed in that after being in bed with you for DECADES -- look it up; you have the data -- that I had to buy a Windows 11 computer if I wanted to use the desktop version, despite my computer working just fine on Windows 10. I guess it sucks to be me! So I used your on-line version which doesn't resemble nor is as easy to use as historically, with my desktop version which is also cheaper.

More disappointing than ever. For one, you ignore the new WA Excise tax on Capital Gains. Wa doesn't call it an income tax because of potential conflicts with the State Constitution, but capital gains are income on the federal return, and should be regarded by you as an income tax, when supporting state filing. In fact, the info needed to file the Wa State return comes directly from the federal return. Even worse, you declare in large letters: "You don't need to file a Washington State return," when you have the information to know when we do need to file. You could easily create the return, but since you decline that, at least point out to the user that the return must be filed, when the user clearly meets the criteria to file. How much tax has Wa failed to collect because of your declaration, I wonder. Other deficiencies, 1) your description of requirements to file for foreign tax credit, is just plain wrong, or extremely misleading I believe this has changed from prior years, 2) you buried foreign taxes in an "other" category, so trying to find it later to correct it, took a long time (your indexing is poor, or non-existent and use of "search" did not help, 3) in general, access to the actual calculations is almost non-existent, you provide some minimal info at the end, buy why not allow any form to easily be called up for review? In general, I see no improvement in the software year over year, even as AI becomes available elsewhere.

The on line version was not as good as the desktop and considerably more expensive. Particularly annoying was the upsell to Premium for basic capabilities available in the Desktop version of Deluxe. Unfortunately my PC can't upgrade to Windows 11. Next year I'll look seriously at other options.

Accuracy was less than expected and less than previous years. My downloaded file was not completely read to populate my return. I had to add some downloaded information manually. Compatibility: OK Features were not easily accessible, e.g., internal calculator was not found, Interface: OK Support was OK. I called support and was effectively serviced.

I have used Turbo Tax for several years and I found it's accuracy and interaction more challenging this year. I had particular issues with reviewing our 1099 R forms and connecting with our Financial Institution. AI was a bit too general in some cases.

After buying my first home, I thought filing my taxes would be more complicated, but Turbo Tax walks you through every detail and was very easy to use! I also am confident that the return is accurate and, if I have any problems, I can reach an expert and get support through the platform features.

Initial survey questions should do a better job of identiying pertinent taxable events to develop process-tree questions related to those topics (2025 purchase of depreciable assets subject to bonus depreciation). The question are inconsistently unclear, ambigous and lack context. Terminology is also inconsistent between the questions and the pop up windows which attempt to provide context but fail to.

My wife and I filed married jointly filing. She sent in her return without you asking for any of my W-2’s. I did my taxes and filed only to be rejected because my wife had already submitted hers. I was receiving a substantial amount more of a tax refund than her and now I’m not sure if I’ll even get it. I paid over $200 to file and got nothing in return. I could have done it for free with the correct results using the IRS website for free. Will not be using you again.

I have used Turbotax for a decade and this will be my last year using it. It felt like I was fighting ancient software just to do basic things. It bugged and imported invalid numbers for some forms and forced me to spend an entire hour (literally) manually checking boxes due to capital gains. Even just typing this review and it's riddled with bugs, forcing me to re-type words over and over.

I have used TurboTax for many years, probably around 20 years and for the most part it's always been a good experience until this year (2025 filing). There were imortant items that I needed to enter but couldn't find, and had to do Google Searches to find answers. I had a form to fill out that translated it to a different form so I don't know if it's right or not. There was a major glitch in the software where I had to call for help. The firs representative had no clue what to do, but refused to transfer me to a supervisor. When he finally did, the superviser was great. They couldn't figure out what the software error was, but found a way around it. This will probably be my last year with TurboTax. Even this review form has troubles with my typing and entry. They really dropped the ball.
