As someone new to American Mahjongg and eager to practice at home, I first purchased a $20 tile set. It was functional, but there was no spark. Later, I saw the Lunar New Year Fire Horse set at Sam's Club and hesitated because I couldn't see or touch the tiles before buying. A week later, I went back and purchased the Fire Horse Starter Kit — and OMG, what a game changer! Everything about this set is beautiful: the tiles, the colors, the mat, the pushers, the carrying case, and the bag. The moment I set it up, I felt excited to play and practice. It completely changed the experience for me. I highly recommend this starter kit for anyone who wants a beautiful Mahjongg set at a realistic price. Everything you need is included: tiles, mat, dice, beginner book, tile case, and carrying bag. Since then, I've purchased two more JoyC tile sets: Bloom and Wildlife. What impressed me even more was the customer service. I accidentally damaged some of my tiles and emailed JoyC asking how to prevent the issue in the future. I was very clear that the damage was my fault. They responded within minutes and mailed replacement tiles immediately. Excellent customer service in 2026? That alone deserves recognition. Great job, JoyC — and Sam's Club too for carrying such a wonderful product line.

Some of the tiles are printed with pale yellow ink and they are nearly unreadable. I had to take a permanent marker to color it in. The bag, carrying case are great. The tiles are chunky and a fun color on the backside. The mat is “meh” but fine overall. The price for the set is awesome.

Tiles are a good size but very light %26 the numbers are too small to read. The mat has a rough surface so tiles don't slide easily. Racks %26 pushers are flimsy. Going to sleep on it tonight but thinking of returning the set.

To be honest, I had zero clue what Mahjong even was when I ordered this set. My girlfriend had mentioned wanting one for our game nights, so I figured I'd surprise her with something nicer than the basic ones. The moment the box arrived, I was blown away by how hefty it felt. Everything inside says quality, from the beautifully engraved acrylic tiles and sturdy clear racks to the rubber-bottomed mat, leather case, and carrying bag that make the whole setup feel truly luxurious. I'm learning the game myself now, and it's super fun. It's definitely joining our regular game night rotation. Great purchase, and she absolutely loves it!

This is a great family game. One of the best board games and quite engaging. I like the quality of the tiles and the game comes with a big leather bag so it's easy to take around. I bought this game for my family and we are excited to learn and master the game.

This game is a high quality game. The tiles are sturdy, smooth and engraved for longevity. The game feels authentic and durable. The case for the tiles and the bag for carrying the entire game is a bonus for storage. This is a great addition for family game nights. I would recommend this set to anyone starting or wanting to upgrade their current set.

This Mahjong set is absolutely gorgeous. If I had to put my review into one word that would be it! it is also Sturdy, Luxurious, Fun and the Complete package that you need to enjoy the game. The tiles have a substantial feel and the overall look of the entire kit is one of luxury and substance. The vegan leather carrying bag is soft and supple, and I think my wife has been eyeing it for her own personal use, lol! This was a purchase that I put some serious thought into, and when it arrived, I could yell that it was everything I had hoped AND THEN SOME!!

At first glance, the quality of the tiles and everything included is impressive for the price. Overall, this is a well-designed set. There are two minor drawbacks. The racks are a bit short for a two-stack of 19 tiles, so pushing the wall out requires a tighter hold. Also, the numbers on the tiles are smaller than preferred, but still usable. That said, I love the color of the racks and the loose pusher. The mat is beautiful and good quality. The carrying case and tile bag are also very nice. For a first set or an extra set for teaching, this one works very well — everything is included. The tile designs are exceptional. I love the horses on the red and green dragons, and the traditional soap tile used for the white dragon. The flowers are outstanding. The Joker and Crack tiles are very close in color, but the Jokers are labeled, so you just need to pay attention. The vibrant red tiles are stunning. Also included (though not necessary) are shufflers, dice, chips, and blank tiles for replacements (not for play). These tiles would look beautiful on a Christmas-themed mat. Will I use this set? Yes. I would love to see larger numbers on the tiles if this company releases future sets. Maison Lude did a great job offering a cost-friendly set with everything you need included. I wasn't able to include pictures.

This Mahjong started kit is colorful, durable, and portable. All parts, including tiles, tile racks, and foldable playing board are built to last. Unlike many board games that are in a box that can break open into two halves if dropped on the floor, this kit has separate enclosures for the tile racks and smaller pieces like tiles and dice. Those enclosure in turn fit tidily into a durable faux leather carrying bag that is built to last.

I'm writing solely about the customer service. I bought my set yesterday and when I opened I could tell the bag had some stitching issues. I emailed the company, got an immediate response with a reply they would send a new one and today got the shipping confirmation. What service!!
