Once assembled it yields a very "Clunky" rendition of the iconic GT40. I wasn't expecting an exact replica of course, but it seems as if the design was Rushed to get to market, and corners were cut. Lack of windshield/windows, gear on the roof, primitive and blocky lines of what should have been sleek elegance. The Ford GT kit is everything the GT-40 SHOULD have been. I still enjoyed it, but feel it was overpriced for the quality of the kit.

The instructions are easy to follow, and my son has been helping my husband build it along the way. The details are amazing and it's been fun to put together. I was really excited to get this Lego Race Car and I love it so much. This was so much fun to build and the instructions were really easy to follow. It did take me a couple of hour to complete the build but I really enjoyed the process of it coming together. When I finally finished it came out looking amazing and the quality looks excellent. The design was done really well and everything look realistic. Overall I really enjoyed this LEGO Ford Race Car and I would recommend this to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed building this set. It took me about 3 or 4 hours to build and contained 6 bags of legos. There is a section about the car in the beginning that was interesting to read, though my instruction book was a bit ripped on the edges of the early pages. The instructions were pretty clear and easy to follow, though I did miss a step near the end and had to redo a small portion. The front hood, back of the car, and the doors open, and there is a mechanism to move the wheels so the car can be steered and moved around. There is a lot of detail that went into the chassis system and the appearance that I appreciate - the headlights being pieces and not stickers are a nice detail. Based on pictures, it looks pretty accurate (within the capabilities of LEGO and without using custom parts) to the real car, though I am not a collector or an expert on cars. It was bigger than I expected (not sure why I thought it would be smaller) but looks really nice displayed on a desk or shelf. And it looks like it would be fun to play with even if you aren't a collector.

There are a lot of step, which makes it a serious build, rather than rushing through it. Steps are very well laid out and as always lego quality is obvious. Still not done yet, cant wait to see the end result.

Love how it captures the real 1966 Le Mans beat: sleek black body, gold wheels that pop, opening hood plus rear engine cover with a detailed V8, working steering, and those cool swinging doors. Minor gripes: lots of fiddly stickers, no suspension, basic interior.

This build was pretty fun to build, didn't take that long probably 4 hours but that's just because I had to do some things during the time, it had some new Lego pieces I hadn't had before in the set which brung me some joy.

This product helps keeps busy while where I am currently because it can be stressful sometimes but when you have Lego it helps relive that stress
