I usually leave off a star for the Lego price but this GT40 is by far one of my favorite technic cars. And yes, I still think it is overpriced especially when you consider the alternative brands but this car is just so well modeled with the technic parts. This one has a working V8 engine (unfortunately only driven by one wheel, no differential), working doors, steering, working frunk (with an interior frunk latch) and a working rear engine cover.

This kit was a blast to put together with my son. It features some unique pieces and construction methods. Although I may be slightly biased because it's one of my favorite cars.

I’m very excited about this technic car set. Can’t wait to complete the building process so I can set the outcome. This purchase was a little on the expensive side. As a collector I’m very well pleased.

Watched Ford Vs Ferrari while building this to soon learn this Was McLaren's during Le Mans. The same McLaren who started the McLaren F1 car company. Love this build. Thought it was awesome BUT I am begging for the number 2 car as well. The one Ken Miles drove. Would love to see them next to each other in my case.

Although this kit is small, it was a fun kit......I also think it was a bit overpriced by about 25 dollars

I really enjoyed building this set, the headlights look better in person, the whole shape its very close to original car. Love the working engine looks amazing. I would have also wanted the real winner Ken Miles number 1 car, but ultimately it does have a big fundamental flaw and that's that it does not have a differential. The 1 wheel drive aspect of this kit really removes me from the immersion of the build. I hope Lego stops doing this 1 wheel drive builds. Make a smaller diff or something it really breaks away from the realism of the build. Specially for a set $10-$15 more expensive than the others in this class for some reason.

This kit contains NO windshield, rear or side windows. It looks very unfinished. Rims do not have the knock offs. And the roof has a gear on top of it to steer the front tires. You can of course leave the gear off and regain some of the original looks of the car. Aside from the hole it leaves. The box art and instructions show the rims on backwards. This kit isn't for the hardcore GT 40 fan.
