It had options to cook white rice, brown rice, oats, beans, etc. My rice also came out very fluffy and perfectly cooked! I love that there is a low carb option too.

It reduces the carb content of white rice if you use low carb mode, but you can also use it for cooking regular rice. It took 40 minutes to cook white rice with this GreenPan, result is delicious, perfectly cooked white rice! I used it for our bibimbap recipe. I loved that it doesn't have toxic materials, also easy to clean, comes with a rice scoop! Size is also good for a rice cooker, when I need it I place it on the counter. It has different settings and different options, from rice to oats, even beans! I gave 4 stars just because even it says 8 cup rice, the max amount of low carb rice you can make is 2 cups or 2 and half.

Makes food healthier by reducing carbs. Pretty easy to set up, use and clean afterwards. Stores easily but is slightly bulky. This can cook 8 servings of rice at time. Also great for beans, oats or other grains. Although setup is easy, and timer and auto on feature are great, it does take a long time to cook. I've been using with plain white rice and plan on trying wild rice next. The rice comes out perfectly cooked and fluffy, not sticky or starchy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Greenpan Bistro rice cooker has a low-carb rice option! As a type-1 diabetic I needed to see it to believe it. It comes with a little carb tray, that reduces carbs by 37%. When using the carb tray it looks like it's catching/removing some of the starchy water from the rice. Greenpan isn't simply a rice cooker, it can cook different grains, beans, and steel-cut oats. Steel-cut oats take a long time to make, and they can be tricky, but they have a lot of nutrients. So I bought some oats and tried it out. The results are wonderful. They taste so good. It's easy to use, with 10 different preset buttons, and cleaning it up is easy.

Cooks rice perfectly which there are different buttons for different types of rice which I like that. It also has your measurements on the sides if you don't have a measuring cup which is comes with as well as a rice spoon.

I rinse my rice over 4x before cooking and it STILL caught over HALF a bowl of excess starch… let’s just say, the starch was escorted out peacefully lol. This reduces carbs by over 30% or more and that alone has my heart! Best of all, the rice was perfect, not mushy or slimy at all like my old rice cooker..RIP to that ol thing! can eat rice without the guilt spiral! That alone is a WIN! Bonus points: it’s not just a rice cooker, I’ve made beans, oatmeal and quinoa in it and EVERYTHING came out perfectly fluffy and cooked. The ONLY downside is the cook time—-it can take 45min-1 hour but honestly? WORTH IT! I’d rather wait a bit longer for cleaner, lighter rice that doesn’t make me feel blah afterwards. Love rice but hate the carb regret? This cooker is THAT GWORL!! ✅✨

I really like this rice cooker. I love to be able to put my rice or quinoa etc in and walk away until done. And it cooks to perfection. No more cooking on the store and it boil over out and over the lid. I can't believe it took me this long to buy one and I love that GreenPan is non-toxic.
