Carb reducer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just started keto almost two months ago, so I was so happy to get this. It was easy to use with the exception of some of the buttons not working. It took a couple tries before it would work. Otherwise, my rice was cooked to perfection.

Great little rice cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little rice cooker! The GreenPan Bistro 8-Cup Carb-Reducing Rice Cooker is easy to use, cooks rice evenly, and the carb-reducing feature is a nice bonus. It heats quickly, is simple to clean, and the graphite design looks sleek on the counter. Perfect size for everyday meals without taking up much space.

Must Have for your kitchen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve always wanted a rice cooker but never got around to buying one…WOW! This one is amazing, first and most importantly, the rice comes out perfect every time and it’s so easy to clean. I love that it’s also able to cook quinoa, beans and oats in addition to all different kids of rice. This is now one of our most used kitchen appliances.

Not bad!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was okay overall, but not ideal for a big family like mine. The concept is helpful, but the carb portion can be a little confusing at first—even though it does make sense once you understand it. You’re limited to about 1 to 1½ cups of carb-friendly options, which can feel restrictive when cooking for multiple people or larger portions. For smaller households or individuals, this could work well, but for a large family it wasn’t very practical. I found myself having to adjust or add extra food to make it work for everyone. It’s not bad, just not the best fit for families needing more flexibility or volume in meals.

Good overall rice cooker for carb reduction- it ju

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Bistro 8 cup rice cooker in Graphite and used it quite a few times. Overall, I’d give it 3 - 4 stars. I do like it, but it definitely comes with a learning curve. At first using it was frustrating. It took me several tries to figure out the right settings and ratios, I also experienced some leaking while getting used to it. I’m not sure if it’s just my specific cooker or how it’s made... Once I got the hang of using it, my white rice will come out fine- but it does take longer than my previous rice cooker. The capacity feels smaller than I expected. For my family of 5, I have to cook one and a half batches (sometimes two), which adds extra time and prep during lunch/ dinner. Where this cooker really shines is if you like carb reduction or want different cooking options like quinoa, brown rice, low carb white rice, and other grains. I feel like it’s designed for more healthy cooking alternatives rather than daily, simple white rice for meals. So if your main goal is basic rice - then I’m not sure it’s worth all the extra effort and time. I do love how it looks on my counter next to all my other appliances. It’s sleek and pretty however it does take some effort to clean it. Overall, I think this is a good option for people who mainly prioritize carb reduction and don’t mind adding extra prep time (80 or so plus minutes for two batches of plain rice). Just be prepared for some trial and error in the beginning, extra time cleaning it up and plan to be in the kitchen cooking longer if you’re making larger batches.

The newest addition to our kitchen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I say this GreenPan Bistro 8-Cup Carb-Reducing Rice Cooker is easy to use, I truly mean it. We’ve already used it three times since it arrived, and each time we’ve been more impressed. The rice comes out perfectly cooked every single time no guesswork at all. It was very easy to set up out of the box and it comes with a spatula which I love and is very durable as well as a measuring cup which is perfect to figure out portions. This is officially the only way we’ll be making rice from now on. I love how user-friendly it is and how many settings it offers, which makes it versatile for different types of rice and meals. It’s also a great size for our family of four and easily feeds all of us without any issues. On top of that, the price point is very reasonable for what you’re getting. This rice cooker has quickly become a staple in our home, and I highly recommend it.

Functional and versatile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from GreenPan and Influenster for free in exchange for an honest review. I've used quite a few rice cookers over the years and this one stands out in both design and functionality. The graphite finish is sleek, modern and fits well in the countertop. The carb reducing feature is what initially caught my attention. While I can't measure exact carb percentages at home, I can say the rice comes out lighter and less sticky compared to a traditio am cooker. It has a cleaner texture and does not feel as heavy after eating. Also, the presets are extremely convenient and versatile. If I had to mention one drawback, it's that it's slightly larger than a basic rice cooker, so storage could be a consideration if you have limited cabinet space. Overall, this feels well built, thoughtfully designed and goes beyond basic rice cooking. I'd recommend to anyone who wants a simpler life without compromising on taste.

Extremely nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Greenpan rice cooker is honestly one of the nicest rice cookers that I have ever seen. Firstly, in low carb mode, it separates the extra carbs from the rice. How cool is that? It makes an already healthy dish even healthier. The inside bowl is nonstick and very easy to clean. I dont say that lightly either. I absolutely hate washing dishes but this is very easy to take out and wash. The unit itself isnt too heavy so its not bad in terms of storage and moving it around. The rice comes out delicious. The coolest feature, in my opinion, is how it has separate modes for each type of rice. Ive never seen a rice cooker with this many features before and I think the value here is outstanding.

NOT GOOD for smaller amounts

I bought this because it makes low carb rice, since I am trying to cut down on carbs I only cook a small amount of rice. It works good when you cook 1 1/2 cups (which makes over 4 cups), the top tray fills with water/starch and the rice is good. This is way more rice than we need when trying to cut down on carbs, tried to cook 1/2 the rice, 1/2 the water and it doesn't work, there is no starch/water in the top tray. Disappointed that I have to cook the full amount each time and waste a bunch of rice that we can't eat. Also disappointed in the steam tray for cooking vegetables, it will steam vegetables in the top tray, but you can't put enough in that tray for a meal, and I want my veggies steamed, not cooked in water. So, for me it is not what I wanted or expected and I did check all of these things out before buying. I asked it if can steam vegetables etc. Might be okay for a large family that wants a full pot of rice that DOES NOT have to eat less rice and wants low carb (which is what this is supposed to do in the first place). I bought it for the low carb function, but all the low carb is lost if I eat twice the amount of rice.
