[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the carb reducing cooking. It serves 8 cups of rice and works great for larger gatherings such as a baby shower, Christmas, birthday party. It makes amazing rice.

I bought this because it makes low carb rice, since I am trying to cut down on carbs I only cook a small amount of rice. It works good when you cook 1 1/2 cups (which makes over 4 cups), the top tray fills with water/starch and the rice is good. This is way more rice than we need when trying to cut down on carbs, tried to cook 1/2 the rice, 1/2 the water and it doesn't work, there is no starch/water in the top tray. Disappointed that I have to cook the full amount each time and waste a bunch of rice that we can't eat. Also disappointed in the steam tray for cooking vegetables, it will steam vegetables in the top tray, but you can't put enough in that tray for a meal, and I want my veggies steamed, not cooked in water. So, for me it is not what I wanted or expected and I did check all of these things out before buying. I asked it if can steam vegetables etc. Might be okay for a large family that wants a full pot of rice that DOES NOT have to eat less rice and wants low carb (which is what this is supposed to do in the first place). I bought it for the low carb function, but all the low carb is lost if I eat twice the amount of rice.

The instructions are very clear, everything is easy to understand. The cooker is quiet and well-made. Really happy to have this on my kitchen counter!

I looked to see if there was any science behind their claim. Couldn’t find any on their website. Couldn’t find any credible articles online. I bought it anyway, hopeful. It’s an 8cup rice cooker only if you don’t use the “low carb” pan. If you use the low carb pan, it can only give you 3 cups of cooked rice.

I have experience with making rice on the stove, in an instapot, etc, etc. and they are always soooo hit or miss. I never get it right. but this is the best tool to use by far and I dont even have to think twice about the measurements. Just fill my cup with my rice, rinse, throw it in the pot. Fill the water to the line it literally has embedded inside of it, and 40 minutes later (for white rice) it is perfection. I am beyond thrilled to own this

It reduces the carb content of white rice if you use low carb mode, but you can also use it for cooking regular rice. It took 40 minutes to cook white rice with this GreenPan, result is delicious, perfectly cooked white rice! I used it for our bibimbap recipe. I loved that it doesn’t have toxic materials, also easy to clean, comes with a rice scoop! Size is also good for a rice cooker, when I need it I place it on the counter. It has different settings and different options, from rice to oats, even beans! I gave 4 stars just because even it says 8 cup rice, the max amount of low carb rice you can make is 2 cups or 2 and half.
