Great rice

Easy to use. I have only used the Carb-reducing setting but It cooked the rice very well. Not sticky or overcooked.

Amazing Product

Love the low carb option. Works consistently and and makes a lot of rice if not using low carb option.

Quick and Fluffy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My whole family makes rice so we will be using this new addition on a weekly basis! It is simple and the rice comes out perfect and fluffy, just the way you would expect!! Pan is non-stick and easy to clean and I love that it doesn't take up much space! The amount of size is perfect for a family meal!

So delicious

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Greenpan Bistro rice cooker has a low-carb rice option! As a type-1 diabetic I needed to see it to believe it. It comes with a little carb tray, that reduces carbs by 37%. When using the carb tray it looks like it's catching/removing some of the starchy water from the rice. Greenpan isn't simply a rice cooker, it can cook different grains, beans, and steel-cut oats. Steel-cut oats take a long time to make, and they can be tricky, but they have a lot of nutrients. So I bought some oats and tried it out. The results are wonderful. They taste so good. It's easy to use, with 10 different preset buttons, and cleaning it up is easy.

Easy and versatile rice cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rice cooker is a great addition to my small appliances. Makes food prep easier with auto on and timer option. Makes food healthier by reducing carbs. Pretty easy to set up, use and clean afterwards. Stores easily but is slightly bulky. This can cook 8 servings of rice at time. Also great for beans, oats or other grains. Although setup is easy, and timer and auto on feature are great, it does take a long time to cook. I've been using with plain white rice and plan on trying wild rice next. The rice comes out perfectly cooked and fluffy, not sticky or starchy.

Not bad!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was okay overall, but not ideal for a big family like mine. The concept is helpful, but the carb portion can be a little confusing at first—even though it does make sense once you understand it. You're limited to about 1 to 1½ cups of carb-friendly options, which can feel restrictive when cooking for multiple people or larger portions. For smaller households or individuals, this could work well, but for a large family it wasn't very practical. I found myself having to adjust or add extra food to make it work for everyone. It's not bad, just not the best fit for families needing more flexibility or volume in meals.

Good overall rice cooker for carb reduction- it ju

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Bistro 8 cup rice cooker in Graphite and used it quite a few times. Overall, I'd give it 3 - 4 stars. I do like it, but it definitely comes with a learning curve. At first using it was frustrating. It took me several tries to figure out the right settings and ratios, I also experienced some leaking while getting used to it. I'm not sure if it's just my specific cooker or how it's made... Once I got the hang of using it, my white rice will come out fine- but it does take longer than my previous rice cooker. The capacity feels smaller than I expected. For my family of 5, I have to cook one and a half batches (sometimes two), which adds extra time and prep during lunch/ dinner. Where this cooker really shines is if you like carb reduction or want different cooking options like quinoa, brown rice, low carb white rice, and other grains. I feel like it's designed for more healthy cooking alternatives rather than daily, simple white rice for meals. So if your main goal is basic rice - then I'm not sure it's worth all the extra effort and time. I do love how it looks on my counter next to all my other appliances. It's sleek and pretty however it does take some effort to clean it. Overall, I think this is a good option for people who mainly prioritize carb reduction and don't mind adding extra prep time (80 or so plus minutes for two batches of plain rice). Just be prepared for some trial and error in the beginning, extra time cleaning it up and plan to be in the kitchen cooking longer if you're making larger batches.

Too small for a family

8 cups is questionable. Much smaller than my previous "8 cup" rice cooker from Zojirushi. Had hoped to exchange for Greenpan's largest 10 cup size, but would cost too much to return and Greenpan does not honor exchanges.
