While my son is extremely happy... he turns five in about a month & barely fits in it. And my son is only average height for his age. No way could any 8 year old fit. Then the first time my son tried using the lever for the back dumping part it broke. My son loves it & he REALLY wanted the John Deere model so that's why we got it but otherwise I believe there are other models that are half the price that are just as good or better. If you don't need to buy John Deere save the money.

I purchased this gator for my grandsons. Our property is only dirt and gravel, which made it extremely difficult for the plastic tires to move the gator. My husband took some old bike rubber tires and put them on the back tires of the gator. It now moves like it's on concrete. The dump bed works awesome. The boys helped grandpa move rock and would dump a pile and go back to get more. It is the first thing they run to when coming to visit, after hugs. Very happy with this little machine. We have since purchased another. The race is on.

Every kids dream truck. No music , lights, just tough trucking. Dump bed is a great idea. Hand shifter has reverse , first and second gear making a greater sense of reality. Big truck but maybe to age 6 or 7. Adjustable seat.

Starting with first assembly step to install windshield and holes drilled in windshield are larger than the head of the screw. Will have to try using a washer to actually hold it down. Not looking good so far.

Got this for my son for Christmas and haven't had a chance to put it together yet. Looking forward to seeing what it can do and for my son to enjoy it!

4 year old grandson rides it every day, he is very rough on it. Goes through mud,over small obstacles, runs into objects on purpose. Seems like we found something he can't tear up. We have a 5lb brick in the back of it for traction.

You have to add some weight to the dump bed like 25 pounds or tires will just spin. Spins on grass gravel and pavement. Otherwise great toy, my son loves it.

Had this for about 2 years now and it's been driven over plenty of tough terrain and is still going fine. Definitely buy the extra battery, it's worth it!

after 2 months of my son using it only for play, the tractor stopped working, we think that it could be the battery, we are about to purchase the battery and see it that is the issue, battery is around $120

Ordered this about 2 weeks ago. It specifically said It would be ready for pickup Dec 8. It is now Dec 8 and still no contact of it being ready to pick up. I guess this is more about the quality of service than the actual product itself though
