The scent is a light sourdough. The bread toasted to perfection and was the perfect texture to accompany our soup. The flavor is good and I would say it's a mild sourdough. I definitely can discern it from other breads however I make my own sourdough weekly and love a very strong sourdough flavor. This bread is great for grilled cheese sandwiches too. Excellent choice with less crazy ingredients compared to other grocery store breads.

They maintained the sourdough crunchy texture with a chewy texture inside. It was a little tough to butter since it was so crispy the butter doesn't slide across easily. The taste is more like homemade sourdough than other store bought sourdough loaves that I've tried. Bought on a whim to make sandwiches with, and it is actually really good sourdough bread, and at a fair price too. I like it for sandwiches, use it to dip into soups, and sometimes just plain as it is good enough to enjoy by itself with a cup of tea.
