So I've never actually smelled Le Labo's Santal 33 but every time I've worn this, I've received compliments from both men and women. Like the other two scents I bought, though, it's not very long lasting and requires some generous spritzes on skin and clothing to be noticeable for any length of time..

I selected this perfume on the fact that I like the smell of Sandalwood. Not sure what the original Le Labo fragrance smells like. I enjoy it and just purchased this bottle and as you can see from the picture its being used. Also like that fact that its not a heavy or strong scent. Some of my other favs are: Ambery Saffron (Actually, I would say this is my favorite so), Ambery Cherry (I think it smells sexy), Floral Lavender (My everyday go to).

I wish I could return this, but after not liking gave to my daughter who initially liked, but her husband told her she smelled like burnt wood or wood shavings for hamster cage. She lives out of town and I cannot get it back to return within 30 days. When I wore it, I smelled bug spray and it made my eyes tear up.

This smells like a bougie hotel, the kind you walk into and say I want to smell like this! Its woodsy yet subtle, layers nicely with many of my other Dossier fragrances. Ive been loving it with Spring Fling and Floral Berries. For summer I think Ill be wearing it with Neroli Romance quite a bit. I also notice on its own it becomes almost a woodsy skin like musk. This will for sure stay in my rotation for a while.

In an interesting way, Woody Sandalwood feels way more aggressive early on than Santal 33. Santal 33 has a much more prominent leather accord that just made it much more masculine to me. Woody Sandalwood is much more sharp / overwhelming for a good while at first, then it smooths down into the best part of Santal 33 for me; once the leather subsides and becomes the framework for the woodiness, I can see why it becomes a fan favorite. I want to say it lasts longer than Santal 33, but that may because it's very much stronger.

this was a blind buy for me -- I had never smelled the original. This does smell really nice and has great sillage/longevity. sometimes when I first spray it I notice a harsh almost pickle-y scent that I don't love but I've seen people mention that with the original scent too so it may just be a skin chemistry issue. definitely a genderless scent-- my husband has worn it too.

Woody sandalwood is one of my favorite dossier scents. I dont have its inspiration to compare it to, but this scent is so good on its own. It lasts forever on my skin, and it wears very nicely throughout the day. Its woody and leathery but still balanced with a light finish.

2-3 sprays will be enough for the day but I have no idea how it turned out to be a cheap old spice cologne smell on my skin I am very disappointed coz I really want to love it. Le Labo Fragrances' Santal 33 who doesnt. I guess it is not right for my skin. Good luck for all other reviewers who got to embrace this beautiful fragrance. Hey! I still have high hope with this company, tho.

I love sandalwood and amber. But this is not what I imagined. I thought this perfume will have the smell of a forest. It's more like someone burn down a tree, you get overwhelmed by the woody notes. Very dry sense, not a safe blind buy. I think a men can pull this off

THIS IS GLORIOUS! I absolutely love this fragrance-warm, comforting, sensual and satisfying in every olfactory way. And with a 25% concentration of fragrance oils, it has plenty of projection and sillage and last for absolutely hours - days on my clothes. I almost have to wash it out of my tops. One of the most long lasting and strongest scents in the dossier line that I have come across so far, and I have better than 25 fragrances. I don't plan to stop collecting anytime soon, either. I highly recommend at least trying this. You literally have nothing to lose and if you don't like it, some woman in need will get a smashing fragrance to brighten their day!!
