This one is an absolute skip for me I didnt like it at all from start to finish it was absolutely horrible didnt smell like cedar wood or sandalwood at all it smelled more like musk and because it has amber it makes it smell like a light musky smell which I did not like.

So this is my 3rd fragrance from Dossier. Bleu de Chanel, Sauvage, and now Le Labo Santal 33. This one takes the cake for best out of the crew. All 3 great but this one is a barn burner of a scent. It has lasted now for 6 hrs with only a hint of loss of smell. Asked a few girls what they thought at work and they were all about it. The sandalwood in this is so good and masculine. This one will immediately is my #1 in rotation. Great all day scent that is just so well balanced. Well played Dossier...well played.

Im not sure what I expected from a perfume called woody Sandalwood but it only smells like sandalwood and none of the other items mentioned. Not to mention within a few minutes of spraying the tester on my wrist it was nearly gone, I even smelled coffee beans then sniffed again. I mean this REALLY smells like wood I could smell it through the box and could tell I didnt like it. I think I expected some sexy tree smell with notes of this and that rather than being smacked upside the head with a sandalwood plank.

I think this smells very close to Santal 33 so in that sense, Im rating it with high marks. Unfortunately for me, my love for Santal 33 was ruined when someone mentioned it smelled like pickle juice. Now all I smell is warm pickle juice. I was hoping this one would have less sandalwood but it still smells very much like Santal. Or maybe I cant mentally get over the brine. Youll probably like this if you like Santal 33 though. Sadly, I cant return with Le Labo but Dossiers return process is amazing!

This perfume smells just like Le Labo. It is so warm and fresh and just smells elegant. I am 20 years old, and this is my first "grown up" perfume and I love it and cannot recommend enough.The only complaint I have is that I do feel it wears off after a few hours, but then I'll put on a sweater I haven't worn in a few days and it still smells like the perfume. So, who knows \_()_/

Me and my husband both love the scent. Definitely very unisex and has the musky smell but not too overpowering for a more feminine scent or too flowery for a mens scent. Get so many compliments on it as it smells exactly like the original! Highly recommend!

I LOVE that I decided to give this perfume a go. I enjoy less common perfumes, and the way women described in on YouTube made it sound delicious. I was looking for a warm and pepper like perfume and this is it! Lol, I see some men in the office slightly lift their masks as I walk by...

My mom and I both love Santal 33 and when I told her I found a dupe she didnt believe me, I sprayed Santal on one wrist and dossier on the other and she couldnt tell the difference! It works amazing with my body chemistry. Please never discontinue this one, its so good.

Woody Sandalwood does remind me of Le Labo's Santal in that neither to me smell much of Sandalwood. It's more in the realm of Dyptique's Tam Dao -- the impression of all the things one likes about sandalwood: a warm, creamy, muskiness that is more woody than anything else. But I don't detect the rich, unmistakable heart of sandalwood -- that elusive, transcendental, singularly specific sandalwoody gorgeousness you get from the wood itself, its essential oil. For context of where I'm judging from, my favorite sandalwood right now is Tom Ford's Santal Blush -- which despite its sawdusty cedar opening, does in fact dry down to a distinctive santalum spicatum, whose slight camphorus note is mellowed out somehow to mimic more closely santalum album. I also love and sometimes layer Parle Moi's Milky Musk, which captures the creamy aspect of sandalwood without the woodier aspects. I have yet to find a fragrance that has both in the harmony I prefer. But both Le Labo's Santal and Woody Sandalwood definitely do NOT have enough sandalwood for me.

I didn't know what to expect since I hadn't used Dossier before, but I love this scent! I think it is slightly lighter than the original which could be seen as a good or bad thing depending on your preference. I usually spray a couple of times before I feel like I can smell it but it lasts all day on me. I also bought other scents but this is definitely my favorite. I've never owned or bought the original, so I can't speak to how similar they are. Nevertheless, I see this becoming my new go-to scent.
