This was a total blind buy because I've never smelled the original but the description sounded like it'd be up my alley. I ordered 5 scents and loved them all except this one. I smelled like a pickle the whole day... That's one good thing, it lasts! Figured it's just my chemistry so looked up reviews of the original and found that other people were saying the original smelled like dill too! I guess they did a good job recreating then haha. Easy return process though, thanks dossier!

I'm sad. I wanted this to be amazing because the listed base notes I'm usually in love with... and because this is supposed to be the most amazing sandalwood scent. At first spray, this smells very sharp and sour to me. Extremely pungent in the worst way. It gave me an immediate headache. I had sprayed it on a hoody and left it for a while to settle.... away from me lol. I could still smell it across my living room. When it dried down, I was bummed when I didn't get that warm and inviting, cozy, woody and musky scent. The dry down is really plant-like, very green. Still pungent and sour. Off-putting. I wanted to love it. I kept re-visiting it, hoping I would adjust to it. Maybe it would change into something better on my skin, but I wouldn't be able to get past the first few hours. I'm not sure if I got a dud? Or maybe I'm just realizing that Cardamom and I don't have a healthy relationship? Lol. I'm not sure what it is in the notes that is making me so resistant, but I tried to love it.

I ordered the Woody Sandalwood, and I really enjoy the scent. It is for sure different than the Le Labo 33 but it is very close and does smell so good! I will be ordering this again, I get a ton of compliments when I do wear it, even through a mask in public!

Smells good on the clothes or linens but does not mix with my natural chemistry. On the skin, it Starts off as cedar trees. Dries down to pickles. And then stays at bug spray. 2 stars because shipping was fast and a pleasant scent (the scent the perfume is supposed to be) lingers on clothes even after washing.

If you don't expect Le Labo Santal 33, then you'll be happy. Compared to the original by Le Labo, Dossier's Woody Sandalwood is missing some of the warm creamy notes that take off the edge, and the opening notes of Woody Sandalwood might be too sharp for some people. That said, my husband enjoys it and contends that it is still evident on his skin when he wakes in the morning. With a concentration of 25%, Dossier's Woody Sandalwood doesn't dissipate into nothingness, and in my opinion, the dry down and the heart notes are more alluring than the opening. For some people expecting Le Labo Santal 33, this fragrance might be a disappointment, but otherwise, it stands on its own as a sandalwood and cedar fragrance (and yes, there's cedar, and at times, the cedar might recall your grandmother's blanket chest, but relax, that, too, passes...). Altogether, it's fine, but the higher Dossier price might feel unnecessary to some.

Its not bad, the smell is long lasting. I personally dont like citrus smells and thats what it gave off but I gave it to someone who liked it more, they got lots of compliments on it but its just not MY piece of cake but if u love citrus they buy it.

I love how close you have gotten this scent to the original. This certainly does not have the silage that Santal has. Im still sold but would love to have a decanter with a travel size option to reapply when going out. By travel I mean going to a club or gathering

I happened upon this scent on a friend/coworker that sat next to me at work. I could smell her all day and wondered what she was wearing. I asked and she told me about Dossier,com. After I bought it I realized that I had smelled it once before on another coworker years earlier. I had complimented her, asked what she was wearing, and she completely ignored me! She was/is super stuck up and has a lot of money, so probably was wearing the real thing... Glad she ignored me and I found about Dossier instead!

Initially I was a little thrown off from the smell (the cardamom over powers at first), but after I sprayed it on it complimented my scent wonderfully. It also lasts a good bit of the day, usually steered to fade after 6 or 7 hours. Perfect for any special occasion or daily wear.

Woody Sandalwood is the va-va-voom nighttime scent for mesensual and a bit more of a mature feel, I really enjoy the spice in it and its definitely a warmer scent, reminiscent of fall. throw on some leather, a red lip, spritz some of this onto the back of your ears and youre ready for date night! 10/10 and so long-lasting!
