Member's Mark Calzones with Marinara Sauce, 4 ct., priced per pound

The filling was tasty but there just wasnt much in there.  The dough was a bite hard and too chewy. With some adjustments it could be a good product.

Just ok as is

Surprisingly delicious. Nice fluffy calzone with a golden crunchy exterior. Filled with plenty of cheese and meat.

Worth the purchase

Too much pepperoni I think if they add ham and sauté they would be excellent and also do some with a white sauce for us that don't tolerate tomato sauce

Dough was a little thick. Filling a little too sparse. It needed the sauce that came with it.

I recently tried the Member's Mark calzones from the prepared food section, and I have mixed feelings.
On the positive side, the flavor was very good. The crust was tasty, and I was pleased to find an ample amount of filling inside—they didn't skimp on the cheese and meat. Everything about the quality of the food itself was solid and it made for a very easy, convenient meal. Another cup of sauce would have been preferred.
However, I found the price to be a bit high for just four calzones. In my opinion, the value isn't quite there compared to other options in the club. You could easily buy two of the Sam's Club pizzas for around the same price (or less) and end up with significantly more food using the exact same ingredients.
While they are delicious and convenient, the cost makes them a "once in a while" purchase for me rather than a regular staple.
