[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To start on a positive note, the texture of the bar was decent. It was soft and chewy with small chunks that resembled real cookie dough. The protein content was impressive, making it a solid choice for a post-workout snack or meal replacement. However, the biggest issue I had came down to taste. The chocolate coating had a noticeably bitter flavor that completely threw off the whole experience. Instead of complementing the sweet, cookie dough center, the coating overwhelmed it. It left an unpleasant aftertaste that lingered long after finishing the bar. The bitterness made it difficult for me to enjoy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are wicked delish for being vegan. The ingredients are clean and flavorful. The texture is a thick butter but not too chewy. The packaging is cute and easy to read. I love these for the mornings I need to get my protein in.

These protein bars hit all the standard check boxes PLUS more! There are so many options that are great out there, but none as superior as these. They are a delightful combination of gooey and chewy, packed with flavor, no grainy texture, and did I mention the taste! I was utterly shocked at the accuracy of the PB&J flavor.

The packaging is great and really cute and easy to open and I love the texture and how it’s chewy and it really does taste like cookie dough! Overall, these are very effective with your protein intake and I would highly recommend, especially if you want that extra protein and a little sweet snack!

If you like the taste of pb&j you will really like this bar! They did a great job capturing the nutty richness of peanut butter while balancing the fruit flavor of strawberry (or maybe raspberry?) jam. The flavor balances savory and sweet really well! The coating is the same as the donut flavor, in case you've tried that one. I've tried all of their flavors and have not found a loser in the bunch, but this one is probably my top option. This is a stupid good protein bar that really scratches my sweet tooth itch when 3pm rolls around.

PBJ was okay. My favorite is the smother fudger peanut butter . It is delicious. I do have to eat them less often because there is quite a bit more fiber in them now then there used to be. Or , I will only eat half at a time. I’ve been buying since the original recipe and just love the taste and the ingredients.

I was surprised by the exterior layer of chocolate as it didn’t seem obvious that was going to be the case. The flavor is good, it’s the texture that gets me. It’s very chew and gummy. I think if it as a taffy mixed with caramel. It isn’t bad, but unexpected. If you aren’t on a plant based diet, there are better options out there.

This was my first time trying a Tru bar and I was very impressed. My only complaints is that I didn’t have more! Ranking high in my list of favorites!
