I find Turbo Tax easy to use. I like the options to walk through everything or choose what to work on, which is easy if you just want to double-check something you've entered. The explanation of categories with samples of what is allowable is very helpful. Although I gave a 5-star rating, I found the requests for information on the state portion to be a bit confusing than last or previous years. I'm not sure if that is something requested by the state or something TurboTax changed. The filing of the returns was fast and efficient and the options of payment, etc., are convenient.

This was a TERRIBLY frustrating experience. The explanations of what the questions were asking for was not adequate, the BACK button doesn't always take you back to the previous page - sometimes it takes you completely out of the section you were just in and you have to start all over. The submission for taxes was really irritating - it actually will NOT let you file if you don't have everything the program is asking for and when you try to fix it you have to delete the form and start over. Then, when you finally DO get everything fixed and you try to file, you get an ERROR MESSAGE saying that you've already reached the maximum number of filings (up to 5) when you haven't even gotten a single filing submitted. Nope. This was a freaking nightmare and next year I will just hire an accountant. I will say, the people I actually dealt with were exceptional in every way.

Although the product appears to do a good job, there is way too much repetition and lack of clarity. For example, when I want to just review my work, I cannot seem to see exactly what I have typed in. Product seems to skip steps. Further, if I want to make a simple change in a number or description I have to go through all the related questions over and over again. This is a very inefficient process.

I had a problem in completing 8382 form- donatation form, Next I could not process the efile as it a minor question to answer and I don't know what was your question, Next I tried to call a TurboTax site near my home, I tried three times, each time it said call back if you need help. I have been using Turbo tax form for over 15 years, I had no trouble before. You need to go back what was done for 2024 tax return especially with the non monetary donation valuation. All those supportd were miss ing.

I have used TurboTax software for several years to prepare my tax returns and a small number of returns for family members and close friends. It is the best tax software program available in my opinion. You don't need to be a tax expert to use TurboTax. You just need to be able to answer questions about yourself and your income and expense situation.

Because I am self-employed, I find Turbo Tax to be very user friendly, easy to use and accurate. I give it the data necessary per questions asked, and the software takes care of the rest. Thank you for keeping this product bug free. Turbo Tax is a big helping hand during tax season. A reassuring factor is having tax advice is there if I need it.

I like the info brought forward from previous years returns, the guide if you need it, and the check for errors or omissions feature. I am familiar with tax returns, but I would think 98% of American household culd effectively use TurboTax to file their returns. I have been a faithful user for 20 plus years.

We have somewhat complex taxes (180 pages), and TurboTax allows me to do them on my own. That is pretty good. There are things that could be easier, but AI helped me figure them out. Overall good. I did have an endless loop error while filing a separate state form, where it continually asked for my first name. A Google search found a similar problem in 2023 and had a fix.

Very unsatisfied with TurboTax 2025. I've been using TurboTax since at least 2012, and I felt like it was getting better for a while, but has now been getting worse for the last few years. This year it pulled in a corrupted version of my 2024 filing which I didn't catch until I was about to file and noticed that the last year's AGI that you're asked to verify for some reason, didn't make any sense. So I went into the forms and realized that the 2024 values in the two-year tax comparison form were all wrong. I tried to fix them there, but they seemed to show up in too many places throughout the many many forms included, so I had to give up and start a whole new filing. Very frustrating. There should be a way to delete and re-enter the last year's data without having to start all over again. I even had to re-purchase the state efiling which I had already done in the corrupted version of my filing, so I lost $20 to this issue. I'm also very disappointed that It's Deductible has been removed. That was one of my favorite features of the software. I'm definitely going to explore other options for next year. If I can't trust the software to import last year's data, and I'm not getting the functionality of It's Deductible, sticking with this product is not looking very attractive. Oh, and it's also annoying that auto fill doesn't work in the payment pop-ups.

Very late rental depreciation release with inaccurate update schedules and poor communication. Update release notes were discontinued several years ago for some unknown reason, making it difficult to know what is being updated any given time. Why was this discontinued? You know what is being updated, so just share that with users so I don't have to recheck everything. The questionnaire for WA state tax filing needs to be updated to screen WHETHER or not you NEED to file BEFORE you install WA state. The only way around this is to click "do it later", which implies it is REQUIRED. It is not, in most cases. But you have you use your free state to find out you don't need to file, which doesn't make sense. I need to use the free state for a non-resident tax filing in OR--not waste it telling me I don't need to file in WA. Seems like Turbo Tax is more interested in selling upgrades instead of fixing bugs. I see no results from provided feedback.
