We were very impressed that the kit included nearly every tool you'll need, including helpful clamps! You'll need a good drill driver, impact driver, and a deadfall hammer helped too. It is a large kit so we had it spread out and placed all the hardware (HW) and brackets on a table. Had to move the table under some shade cuz the sun made everything too hot to touch! all the packages are plainly labeled but it would have been better if the ones with stick on labels would have been printed on the plastic as well cuz the rain made some come off, so I just just open the bag and put the label inside, also a solution. I had poured 2 concrete pilings for the back and sunk anchors for the pool deck legs, so none of the provided foot HW could be used. The posts are TRUE 6x6 so going to the HW store to get "6x6" post brackets won't work because the store brackets are actually 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" even though they "say" they're 6x6. So we had to shave a 1/4" off each side so I could anchor them properly. Make certain you're square before you pour concrete or drill anchors. We did and it aligned just fine. Once you get to the phase of standing the posts up you'll need more than 2 able bodied people to help. The ROOF... FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!!! Each side roof panel is assembled differently. The instructions state this as well. Making sure the roof is square is very critical. It says you can have a 1/4" of play and that is it, so don't screw it down tight until you get it flexed into the measurements needed. Again, you'll need 1 more than just two able-bodied folks to put each panel up to the roof. This unit is tall so the handy cedar boards provided as temporary support legs while each side is joined together worked well to help the 3rd person.

Bought to go on our pool deck. It looks great! Was a bit apprehensive with some of the reviews regarding assembly and lack of an instruction booklet. We definitely had a hard copy instruction booklet. Each box is very well packed and had an inventory sheet included. All parts are very well marked. Only issue, I strongly suggest opening each box and comparing with the inventory list as soon as possible. When all was opened and checked, we were missing 3 pieces. A very important piece—one of the four main posts. (Honestly the way those boxes were packed, I have no idea where these missing pieces would have fit. Especially with the size of a main post) I immediately called the 800 number to the manufacturing company. They were extremely pleasant and helpful. She took my info which activated the warranty, asked me to forward a copy of my receipt for proof of purchase and said it would take 3-5 days due to possibly having to cut and stain new pieces. Also instead of sending fedex ground as they usually use that it would be sent out fedex overnight. That was a Thursday and we received the missing pieces the following Wednesday. It went together great. Took it slow so can’t say how long it actually took to assemble, but will agree that a couple extra set of hands are necessary when standing the ends up and especially putting the roof on. We have added a fan and are adding string lights. Need some outside furniture next. Even though we were missing pieces, still rating it a 5 for the gazebo itself and the customer service. Extremely happy with our purchase! Let the pool season begin!!

This gazebo is beautiful and works well in our space. Delivery was great, it came about a week earlier than originally anticipated, so about a week after we ordered. We have experience with DIY, so we opted to assemble ourselves. Myself, my husband, and 2 other men worked on this and it was NOT easy. There were several holes that didn’t line up, even after triple checking everything was square. We made it work and drilled our own holes in some places. This took much longer than anticipated and in hindsight, we should have splurged to pay for the assembly. If we ever purchase something like this in the future we will pay for assembly and recommend others do as well. Overall, we are happy with the purchase.

So far so good. It looks really amazing even though the assembly we initially purchased through backyard discovery was extremely disappointing. They never showed up to assemble, so we had to find someone else for assembly. It looks great nonetheless and I hope it holds up during winter time.

Ordered on April 27th. Delivered on May 19th. Assembly scheduled for June 1st. Sam's Club had no idea as to any post sale information. Website still says it will be delivered on May 7th. Backyard Discovery has all the information. I paid for the item with assembly a month ago. I think the Gazebo is 5 stars. Sam's is 0 stars.

Legit review! I just built this gazebo with the help of a friend. Both of us have built things like this before. It took about 3 days and a total of about 15 hours. The materials are high quality for sure. once built, you will be very happy with the product. However, this project is not a beginner's build and the installation of the combining frame pieces and roof should absolutely have 3 people. The part where you screw the steel roof pieces to the wood is extremely important to get it within their half an inch specifications. If you don't, you will have to cut some of the metal roof off to make it fit. Just a heads up for you. Quality product though!

So far so good! Chose this product at a family members recommendation of the brand. We opted for the assembly which I think is worth the extra money to have it done correctly. Even with the product coming earlier than estimated the assembly company offered a sooner date even coming up on a holiday weekend. Overall very pleased with the structure and it feels super sturdy!!

Not easy to do, because I had to go back to Sams for parts, I don’t know if I got a bad box or something, but the wood was cracked bowed vary badly, The manager was good about it. They opened other boxes and gave me the parts that I needed that were bowed and cracked. Some of the others that were cracked. I filled with wood glue myself, and there was a lot. The cedar is very dry. definitely pre-drill before you put screws in anything that doesn’t already have a hole. It took two weeks to put it up, l got one from Wayfair a couple years ago very similar, it took me a weekend to put together, I would say shop around before buying this one.

helped a buddy of mine build this over the weekend. it looks fantastic but the instructions and expectations of the build process are written by a mad man. multiple points just kinda imply that there is no ground and the tolerances are all over the place. definitely build on a level surface. place bolts really loose until you are certain nothing else attaches to it. check things are squared constantly. it suggests I think 2 people but use 4. get a right angle drill adapter lotta weird positions you have to be in for the roof.
