Never had a problem with TurboTax calculations. Sometimes have to search to see whether a particular topic has been covered (ie. QCDs when completing charitable donations), but generally fairly easy to use. The interface has improved a lot over the past few years, especially for Mac users.

I have used TT every year for many years. Until this year I have been super satisfied with my purchase and the output. But this year I was disappointed in the interview questions and completeness of the 529 programming. This 2025 version of TT did not handle two of my 529 situations properly: Room and Bad distributions for a college student living at home and 529-to-Roth rollover. First, the interview questions never properly handled 1099-Q entries for tax-free R&B withdrawals. I was forced to use AI to help me brute-force the worksheets into submission so that this legitimate distribution was not taxed. Second, when typing in the 1099-Q describing a $6,500 529-to-Roth rollover, when I checked the 529-to-ROTH check box, TT kept claiming an error in the final check and said essentially, "we are not done with that part of the program, come back later." But the weekly updates never fixed it. I spent a lot of time researching and fixing these two errors. Intuit - do better, 529s are not obscure corner cases, they are very common and the ROTH rollover has been in the tax code since 2024.

Somehow you made it a bit more complicated than it needs to be or has been in the past. The E-filing is not good this year. Between the AGI and h format required for driver's licenses, I had go out and get more instructions outside Turbo Tax. I think I need to try another software next year and I've been with Turbo Tax forever.

I like using the product. It makes doing taxes easy, and I learn about tax law while doing them. I've used TTax for many years. I wish the interface were friendlier: I have to move the pointer constantly between clicking buttons and changing pages ("Continue"). That's a lot of unnecessary mousing about. It can be hard to find or return to certain spots, and moving between Forms and EasyStep can also be slow and awkward.

Tax year 2025 software is garbage!! I have used TurboTax for over 10 years and have been extremely satisfied up until now. When Turbo tax aligned with windows 11 there were setbacks from the start. I had to download several software updates that worked sporadically, if at all. After multiple attempts to update through the software, I had to go to the website to obtain manual updates myself. This still resulted in run-time errors. I am beyond frustrated that I CANNOT transmit my taxes in a timely manner due to this ERROR CODE 54!!! I expected better from this software!!

This year I had more technical problems using Turbo Tax than I have had for quite some time. Multiple times it would show a page that was too big for my computer screen. I couldn't accept or delete because I couldn't see the bottom of the page. I had to Force Quit the entire program and start again. It was very frustrating. It also wouldn't allow me to purchase the Audit because it would get stuck and refuse to let me proceed. I had to call the Audit company and pay them. I do not know if I received the $10 off or not. I do appreciate having a program that assists me in completing my taxes by myself and that allows the completed forms to be printed. I did call for help, at least once. The representative who helped me was amazing! She was so patient and continued to help me until the issue was resolved, even though it seemed to take me quite a while. I really appreciated her help!

Most of the steps were very easy to understand, especially with the additional information that you could click on. Federal and Colorado sections were great. The only issue I had was that the DC filing questions were a vague. I specifically didn't understand how to separate our deductions and how Turbo Tax got to the total DC deductions amount. There was almost zero explanation for any of those steps. I ended up having to ask chatGPT to explain it for me. The user interface was very clear and well organized. The refund running total at the top was very helpful, as well as the tabs that allowed me to see where in the process I was working on and to move between sections without having to use the back button.

I purchased turbo tax that I should be able to do more than one return it should 5 fed and state returns I am having difficultly doing more than one. I have followed 2 separate set of directions and neither one worked. It shouldn't be this hard to start a new return

I like the ‘Forms View’ and flag (bookmark) features. I miss Its Deductible; this was a helpful app. and the direct import to TurboTax was easy. Please add form 8897 (qualified opportunity funds); the lack of it in TurboTax forces me to paper-file. It wouldn’t take much programming, and many people will need it next year, when the 7-year period after this was introduced ends.

I've used TurboTax for many years - probably more than 25. This year's version was much more difficult to follow than previous years. Some of the links related to needed corrections did not work and it seemed to be impossible to return to the forms that needed to be corrected. Additionally, this version seemed to be too focused on upselling the user to purchase additional products. In several instances, they seemed to try to trick users into purchasing extra services.
