This may be my last year using TurboTax. If Intuit takes TurboTax to Online only next year like they they are, I will go to another product like TaxAct who says they will ALWAYS offer a standalone version of their product. I have been using TurboTax since 1984 with Version 1.0a so this is a huge disappointment. Intuit's choice. Standalone version and keep Customers or Cloud-based only and you've lost a lot of people like me.

There were two times in the process when, after clicking "Continue", the Turbo Tax application kept going back to a form I had already finished. I just manually went to the next section. One was the state income tax; my state has no income tax. The other was the foreign tax paid section.

Calculating the next year's (2026) estimated taxes was a problem. The step-by-step method had no way of entering IRA withdrawal withholding. There was no other way to enter tax withholding other than maybe a W-2 or possibly a W-4 entry, which we have neither since we are retired. We had to over-ride several boxes in the individual forms to get the calculation correct for the estimated tax vouchers. TT kept on calculating the total tax without taking into account IRA distribution withholding. We had no problems with the actual 2025 tax filing itself, only the estimated tax section.

i HAVE BEEN A TRUBO TAX USER BEFORE TURBO TAX WAS TURBO TAX. SOME OF THE CHANGES HAVE SLOWED DOWN THE TAX PREPARATION PROCESS AND IN FACT HAS MAD ME FILE AMENDED RETURNS FOR FEDERAL AND STATE. IN PREVIOUS YEARS QCD ENTRIES WERE A SIMPLE ONE BOX IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE ENTRY OF THE IRA'S. NOW IT CONTAINED IN A LISTING OF SEVERAL DIFFERENT ITEMS AND IS NOT READILY IDENTIFIABLE. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. THERE IS A QUESTION ARE YOU A UNITE STATES CITIZEN with small question regarding living i income in a foreign country. a foreign country.. UNFORTUNATELY I CHECKED YES TO THE QUESSTOIN ARE YOU A UNITED STATES CITIZEN AND ENDED UP NOT PAYING TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY. THE WORDING MIGHT BE ARE A UNITED STATES CITIZEN AND DID YOU LIVE IN A FORIGN COUNTRY YES NO. ALSO FILIING A 1040 X IS NOT STRAIGHT FORWARD. WOULD BE EASISER TO BE ABLE TO SELECT A 1040X FROM LISTING OF FORMS AND IT WOULD BE POPULATED WITH THE CURRENT YEAR AMOUNTS ALREADY FILED THEN ENTER THE CHANGES. SIMILAR WITH PREVIOUS YEARS INPUT. CHANGES FOR ENTRY OF INTEREST, DIVDENDS IS REALLY SLOW TO GET TO THE RIGHT PLACE TO ENTER THE DATA. ALL IN ALL PREVIOUS GENERATONS HAVE BEEN BETTER FROM A USERS STANDPOINT.

I docked the product because initially I intended to file "online" after years of preparing the returns using the product "using the computer". I found the "online" product to be cumbersome for me. It was difficult for me to follow the "flow" of my entries. I did not feel comfortable using the product in this fashion.

I have used Turbotax for 25 some years. For the first time I could not download by state return. Your professional agents spent the hours needed to diagnose the problem, make the corrections needed, and get my PC to working order. All at no extra charge. THANK YOU ALL.

long time user, but seemed glitchy this year. 2 times when starting it must have errored/stopped without a message. and when purchased Ohio, had to stop and start to get out of a loop where it looked like it had to download the state I already purchased.

My navigation throughout the process was easy! I applaud Turbo Tax for their accuracy and expertise. And I just signed up for their Tax Advantage program which automatically emails a downloadable product in November which includes additional features for free!

We had two issues for the 2025 tax season. 1. The March 18th update was problematic, so I had to completely uninstall the Windows application - and then re-install from scratch. 2. The importing from previous tax year's files showed a crazy spinning icon which took forever to complete. Please remove the time-wasting spinning icon that took considerable time to complete - and I could not move forward without it completing its function.

MEDIOCRE SOFTWARE: SCREWED UP WRITE OFF OF UNCOMMON EXPENSES... DID NOT PROVIDE DEDUCTION--- EVEN THOUGH "TAXPAYER IS ALLOWED UP TO $$$ OF WRITE-OFF" WHICH REQUIRED SOME WORK AROUND ONLY GETTING BACK $131--WOW!! AFTER ENTERING MORTGAGE TAX INFO. CREDIT PROCESSOR GLITCH AT END ALMOST TRIED TO FORCE ME TO PAY AGAIN..
