I have been using TurboTax for many years was very disappointed this year. Two major difficulties 1) Regarding our wealth management acounts the import failed to load any of the 1099-XXX information. This led to a bunch of problems that consumed a lot of time to correct. 2) I hit a need to review certain things before it would allow me to file, which is ok, accuracy is important. However, if I moved from correcting one box to the forms to check something I was force to cycle through the full review cycle - this is an abysmal waste of time. I will consider a different product next year.

I got a little box requesting the login keychain password and couldn't figure out what to do. I tried my Intuit passwords, reset it, tried accessing the Keychains but nothing worked so I was forced to use the Federal Tax Refund option. It wasn't clear what password was needed here. Other than that, all was fine.

After I imported from Charles Schwab with multiple accounts, I selected the missing one ONLY to download. It wiped out the already ones which were downloaded earlier even they were updated. Should there be better interface for a user to control what ones to keep or reloaded.

This this year's Turbotax Deluxe version did not allow you to right click on an entry and add a supporting statement (note). It was a pain to have to switch to Forms when I wanted to add a supporting statement. I use supporting documents to record account numbers, add breakdown of total numbers, add EIN for charitable organization, etc. Some of this information I was not able to add even when switching to Forms. Please bring back this feature. It also didn't tell me it gave me the senior bonus deduction. I had to search the forms to make sure it was included. A screen telling me it was include and the amount would have been nice.

I have used Turbo Tax for years, but 2022 the IRS filing date was 10/16/2023, on extension. However for some reason I could not E-file my return, so I had to print it and mail it certified mail. What happened was the preview print out was mailed. I paid for Audit Defense. In December 2024 I received a notice that I owed a bunch of money to the IRS. Due to not receiving a 1099 for $25,850.

GUIDANCE IS GOOD WITH A COUPLE EXCEPTIONS-RETURNING TO A PREVIOUS SPOT WHEN YOU NEED TO AND FIXING AN ERROR DURING FINAL CHECKING. ALSO, YOU NEED TO REVIEW THE POINT WHERE IT IS NECESSARY TO CLASSIFY A TYPE OF TEACHER'S RETIREMENT PAY. CURRENTLY THE "TYPE" IS TOO CLOSE TO THE "NAME" OF A CURRENT PLAN BUT INCLUDES A SIMILAR PLAN WHICH PAYS MY SPOUSE. YOU SHOULD HAVE A FEW OF YOUR NEWER EMPLOYEES GO THROUGH THE PROCESS BY JUST WATCHING SOMEONE NEW USE IT.

Double counted my interest income. Through the normal query process I had to enter 3 1099-INT forms manually because the financial institutions (USAA, Cit Bank, and SoFi Bank) were not supported by auto importing. After finishing my taxes and when doing the final check for errors, Turbo tax asked me to confirm Box 1 figures for each of those 1099-INT forms. I assumed this was because I had to manually enter them (No Auto Import). When I entered the box 1 figures Turbo Tax doubled the interest (once for the original entry and then again for this final check). Some disconnect occurred in the programing causing this error. After I ran the program through this portion not once, twice or three time but on the 4th time for whatever reason the program did NOT ask to reenter the box 1 figures and I was able to escape this frustrating loop.

My experience with Turbo Tax went very well until I reached the message "Hmm looks like you've hit a snag." However, I telephoned the number shown for assistance. The Turbo Tax representative listened to me, was very patient, exemplified knowledge, and guided me step by step as she helped to resolve the problem. This representative has outstanding interpersonal skills and is an asset to Turbo Tax.

2025 return was jacked up. Dependents were reproduced (had to remove one). Previous year's AGI in summary sheet was wrong (showed $1 and filing single, instead of married filed jointly). I had to manually go into form to change it. Too many interface changes from previous years. Took longer. False advertising: Free State return, but ended up only being $10 off.

THIS HAS BEEN A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE>>AT THIS POINT I HAVE NO IDEA AS TO WETHER OR NOT I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY FILED MY STATE TAXES OR NOT.. Turbo tax used to be a great product but it has gone down hill. Everything now is about upsale and additional charges...
